Came here with some friends for lunch. I hope you rethink about the not genuine negative reviews of this place as this is probably one of the better Sichuan food I have had. It’s quite clear cut that they haven’t actually tried Sichuan food...We had the Sichuan style mapo tofu which was excellent - the ingredients were fresh, very fresh soft tofu. The spiciness was actually toned down for local’s flavours. It does have a bit of pepper tingling at the end and it is NORMAL. If you don’t like it then order the one without chilli. Having a layer of oil is NORMAL too as part of Sichuan food diet. In fact they did reduce a lot to look and taste healthier and less spicy. Actual Sichuan would mean it numbs completely, so spicy you won’t be able to eat. If you don’t want things like that then don’t eat Sichuan food?! It’s sad to see the reviews dragging this place down just because they don’t know what Sichuan food is. We also had the chilli fish where the portion isn’t as huge as what you get in China but pretty authentic! La zi ji (Sichuan mala chicken) usually comes without bones but I guess people from diff region cooks differently and we found it to be okay. A lil spicy but very nice! There is nothing on the table that wasn’t tasty and the spiciness level was fine for us. If you don’t like spicy then don’t eat here, or ask for no chilli / less chilli. Sichuan food is meant to be very spicy. Service was normal, nothing to complain just typical Chinese restaurant. The staffs were able to converse in Chinese which made it easier for us to order.

We ate lunch here prior to our express train to Narita. If you love soup dumplings; either you already do or you will love Din Tai Fung. This chain of dumping restaurants is all over Asia, even in Australia and the west coast of the U.S. Depending on the location, each branch offers menu options that highlight local flavors; in the case of Tokyo, it was chilled, crunchy cucumber in chili oil. All the top hits present in ever branch of Din Tai Fung are also present here. Scallop dumplings were a uniquely Japanese touch. This branch is set on the top floor of the Takajimaya Department Store building. Opt to sit under the shaded roof, outside of the air-conditioned main dining room, it’s a very nice setting.

In the heart of Chinatown, this is a branch of Manchinro's main restaurant near by. It has a nice ambience and a pianist was playing old favorites as we ate. I would recommend a set menu without the shark's fin soup which is more reasonable. They do give you many different dishes and I couldn't eat all. Not the best Chinese restaurants I've eaten but the ambience is lovely and the food is not bad either.

Close to home taste but I will also give it a skip because it’s just porridge, unless you crave for it badly. Fried noodles were not great - nothing other than salty. No chilli is provided.Staffs are not Japanese level courteousness. Just doing their job and if you ask them anything they will be rude to you. Typical Chinatown everywhere else in the world where these people are probably not local anyway. There is just no need to be rude. Also, running a Chinese store without chilli is like missing an organ in the body. Wasted 10 mins of my life queueing for just normal food and horrendous service.

A large dim sum restaurant in the heart of Chinatown. They are located over their own bakery, which was by far better than the offerings of their restaurant, The dim sum were ok . I sampled the xiao long bao and the shu mai were completely fine, I've had better and worse. The main dish, a sort of version of Yang Chow's Slippery shrimp (Fried shrimp in a spicy sweet tomato-y sauce was just not good at all--overcooked and over sweet. Staff seemed a little stand-offish, perhaps because it was obvious I did not speak Japanese. The menu had many photos and only about 40% translated into English (none of the dim sum). After dinner I went downstairs and had a really nice bean-paste filled dessert

Based on previous TripAdvisor reviews, we decided to give this place a try. Key attributes being small, local and family owned/run. We arrived around 6:30 pm on a Tuesday and were the only patrons there. A sweet elderly gentleman got up from a back table and sat us. A few minutes later, an equally sweet elderly woman emerged and sought out a waiter from the back. A very polite young man came out to take our orders at which point, we laughed and said it felt like we were having dinner at our grandparents home--in all the good ways. We went with the 2500/ea course meal. Each part of the meal was fresh, flavorful and plentiful. About halfway through the meal, I heard the gentlemen at the table behind me start to talk excitedly and then a female voice lit up the room. This had to be the server we'd read about in previous reviews. It was. What a delightful woman. She asked us where we were from and gave us a very nice little tour guide of Japan to help with the rest of our trip. It's worth going here if only to experience this sweetheart's hospitality.

I am old fan from era when there was their restaurant in market avenue. Here is the restaurant which you can eat real Cantonese like Hong kong.In Japan northeast Chinese and Sichuan’s are popular but you should eat sophisticated Cantonese. My recommend menu are Spareribs on steamed rice, pao with roasted pork, crepe with shrimp, steamed fish, boiled vegetable, fried bread, and Dim sum.I recommend you to graduate from Japanesechinese.

I had dinner at this restaurant for gathering with my friends families. The restaurant is the second outlet of a famous Chinese porridge restaurant in Chinatown, Yokohama city. It is located at a narrow street, however there are long long queues every weekends. I visited the restaurant on Monday at 5 pm, it was not crowded. Then almost tables were fully occupied when I left the restaurant at 7pm.I ordered a Chinese porridge and several Chinese dishes. The porridge was nice taste with rich Chinese soup stock. Chinese dishes were a bit oily and light taste. Only porridges were highly recommended.
