When I write, Fortune Palace has a 4.5 rating. I guess that is relative, since I know of no other Chinese buffet restaurant in Sedalia. The hot food offerings are mundane and limit, the environment, from parking lot to dining area is worn and run-down. The staff were quite pleasant and seemed to know many regulars, but again, I think that is relative. My server announced she had given me a "senior discount," but the price was still higher than the non-senior price for a far-better buffet in nearby Jefferson City. I would avoid this place.

This is a mediocre Chinese buffet. We tend to be Chinese food snobs and set a high standard. This place is ok...just not great. They have some decent dishes but just not great. A few generic shushi tidbits are offered. Some of the dishes are worht a "4" ranking...Nothing in the five catagory.

This was our first time there, always alittle hesitant to try to oriental food restaurants without a recommendation but we were pleasantly surprised. The all you can eat buffet has lots to choose from, many of which were new to us. They offer crab legs on the buffet but don't expect to get any, people stand there waiting for them to come out (little at a time) and then that's all they put in their plate! They offer a large sushi selection and a chef will cook up fresh meats & vegies for you right there. Lots of good options at a very reasonable price.
