China Beach offers dine in or take away option and the prices seem inexpensive. On this day we just wanted vegetarian options and we found some good choices here, having just arrived in town. We had a main course size of vegetables and rice and this fed us both.

We regularly have fish and chips from here, they are always excellent, crispy and half a scoop of chips is enough for two to share. The Chinese takeaway buffet is good, we always have sweet and sour pork, noodles and deep fried stuffed mushrooms, so good.

Six of us went for dinner and five were very disappointed. The service was pleasant, but not very professional. As an example, when attempting to pay our bill the hostesses attention was drawn to other customers twice while we were stood there waiting to pay our bill, almost as if intentionally wanting to annoy us. First drinks were only delivered half way through meal service after having to remind wait staff. Food delivery was erratic, some dishes arrived fast, others very slowly. Rice never arrived.I ordered the pork and cashew stir fry as it came in their potato bowl, which is kind of fun. The dish was half celery with a strong flavour of MSG. Celery might be cheap, but nobody likes it that much.

Went in for a quick meal and I ordered chicken and corn soup. Seriously it was disgusting, no taste what so ever.It was pretty much like they took the fat off from the chicken and heat that with some corn in chicken stock. Some one definitely need to show this restaurant chef what is chicken soup look and taste like. Wasted money. So disappointed): They do good fish though but if thatâs what chef call chicken soup then they definitely need to send him back to school.
