We stopped in for lunch on my last day of California visit (11/11/18). Sadly the restaurant was seriously understaffed. The bartender appeared to be the senior person on the floor and there was only one hostess, handling the phone and to go orders. There did not appear to be staff to clear the empty tables; many which remained that way for our entire visit.My rating is based upon the food and terrific attitude of the staff but the appearance of the dining area and the wait were unacceptable. Management needs to improve the staffing, bottom line. This is my first negative experience at New Moon, all prior visits have been much better. I trust constructive feedback will be taken in the spirit intended.

First time here since place opened in 1984. Good full menu with many luncheon choices, each one enough for two people. Service was excellent and very prompt, friendly with good English speaking skills. We chose the Walnut Shrimp and Sweet & Sour Chicken. The shrimps were nicely large and beautifully cooked. The Egg Roll was NOT greasy as so many are. Choice of steamed or fried rice on lunch selection. Tea was hot but pot did not have tea leaves or tea bag. Soup was nicely prepared but just a bit heavy on the corn starch thickener. Wife said, "Best Sweet & Sour I've had in a long time!"Carpet very worn near server station but OK and clean in the rest of the dining area. Exterior of building could use some TLC including weeding and mowing the weeds/grass.Beware! the establishment sign is heavily obscured by parkway trees making the place hard to find unless you know where to look. (Foothill Blvd/Pennsylvania)Definitely adding this place to our lunch list.

This extremely popular Asian gets mixed reviews as some of the dishes (string beans with garlic and cucumber salad) are outstanding whereas the dumplings are good (good use a little more seasoning and flavor) and the sticky rice dumplings are merely fair. Overall a very good experience. Go at off times to avoid a long wait!
