Classic Chinese American style buffet with many more choices than most. If you like shrimp, they got it in a whole bunch of different ways.Or you pick it, and they grill it.

I have to say that this Chinese restaurant has the best Chinese food I have ever had. The owners are super people and very accommodating. We try to eat here at least 3+ times per month.

We have eaten at China Gourmet for over 20 years, through 3 or 4 owners and NEVER had a bad meal there. Mr Lee, we are were told wanted to retire and had personnally reached out to the new Owner, YaYu Jiang, known locally as Jenny. How do we know this, Jenny told us. Now for a personal disclaimer, we have known Jenny for probably 10 plus years. Jenny had owned a Chinese buffet restaurant in Kittanning Pa, called EnLai. When Jenny told us she had bought China Gourmet, we were excited for her and for China Gourmet. Because we knew the quality of the food that was served at EnLai in Kittaning we knew that China Gourmet was in good hands.We had moved to Missouri and are not in Pa very much now, so when we returned to visit my daughter in Fenelton, we stopped into China Gourmet. The food was great. Now I want to be very careful that in writing this that I do not downplay the food that was served by Mr. Lee when he owned the restaurant. You see China Gourmet was our go to restaurant when we were in Butler, what Jenny has done has taken the food and upped it a notch or two. We over heard a long time customer of China Gormet, say as he departed, "I have been eating here over 20 years and never tasted food this good." He expressed our feeling percisely.If you want quality and tasty Chinese food in Butler County PA, you owe it to yourself to go to China Gourmet.

Very nice restaurant with excellent food. Everything we got we really liked. We ordered sweet n sour soup, ginger salad, sushi rolls, spicy chicken, teriyaki chicken, white rice and oolong tea. Waiter was fantastic. Wait staff speaks English so no misunderstandings when ordering. Waiter checked on us frequently and explained how he would time our meal to come to the table. We will be visiting them again for sure.

The place is very small but clean. It is definitely not fancy but comfortable. The staff was super nice and accommodating. The food was very good and very hot when served. I hate soggy breading on my meet and theirs is far from that!! We will definitely be back and I will be bringing the rest of the family too.
