Cafe Riviere is cosy and spacious. Enjoying the beautiful river view in the outdoor seatings is a real treat. A lazy afternoon to enjoy with green tea and a delicately made tea cake decorated with a beautiful sculpture of flower in the cherry blossom season.

We came here on reading reviews of the variety of ice cream (and assortment of desserts) that one can choose from. Watch out for specials that they have. The strawberry one was filled with so much of the fruit. We really loved that. Since it is just a stone's throw from Toyama castle, it makes for a good place to rest one's feet after exploring the grounds of that historical site. One thing though is there is limited seating as the outlet is not large. There was 6 seating areas if we recall accurately.
