We were in Encinitas for a training run from Moonlight Beach and this is very conveniently close to walk to from that parking lot. We received prompt and friendly service that kept the coffee flowing. But my favorite thing is you can order a single pancake (any flavor) and add eggs and bacon for a very reasonable price. Since I had just run 12 miles, I felt entitled to indulge in a banana and Nutella pancake with my eggs and bacon. OMG! Such deliciousness! Can't wait to go back.

We live locally and are thrilled that we have Madeleines on our doorstep. We enjoyed espresso coffee and delicious French pastries. Nice ambiance, good service - and a chance to practice your French language skills! Lots of boutique shops close by along South Cedros. Highly recommended for a brunch or light lunch.

Great little cafe with plenty of outdoor seating. They have a large selection of delicious sandwiches and breakfast items. The grilled sourdough bread enhanced the flavor of the sandwiches. They came with plenty of fresh avocados and lettuce. Mine was served with a small salad and my wife's was served with a cup of lentils which were excellent. While they were very busy the service was still excellent.

There's always a line at Pipe's. It moves surprisingly fast, so that's not a problem. It's a rustic place, shabby but chic. The crowd there is composed of a raffish crew of beach bums and wealthy Californians, with an impressive canine contingent. Everybody gets along. The vibe is California Cool.The food. Very, very excellent. The service. Couldn't be better.Con't miss this place.

We visited on Christmas Eve and loved the menu. Our kids devoured their food. Food pricing was reasonable but the drinks were a bit expensive. Still worth a trip.

We havenât eaten here since last year, but, again the food and service were excellent. I ordered the avocado, tomato, onion omelet with cheese along with grilled tomatoes and sourdough toast. It was fresh hot and had excellent flavor. My husband had the oatmeal and really enjoyed it. Great food and service in a small restaurant.

Warm and inviting inside with a cute little patio out the back. Great service...very helpful and friendly. Lots of creative things on the menu like quinoa cake Benedict and BlackBerry stuffed French toast. They also have a great mimosa menu with flavors like pineapple and watermelon. The little bakery next door is jammed with yummy looking pastries of all kinds to take home. Loved that all the ingredients are local and they support other local businesses. They even give you a little heart shaped cookie with your check...yum!
