Went in with friends just beer and wine. Bread with the meal was soggy not good. I like good bread with my meal. I had a Ruben with fries, not the best I have had. Fried green tomato were ok. I am so sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations and we appreciate your feedback. We will be looking into this today to narrow down the problem and improve it. This is an unusual comment on the rye bread and I am now wondering if your sandwich was made with the kraut on the bottom causing the bread to be soggy. Hopeful you will come back and try us again. We dropped in the other day just to see what this was about. Imagine good comfort food close to good conversation and books. They pretty much have it all in regards to comfortable, well thought out sandwiches, deserts, and the ability to make you feel an associated feeling for both in a comfortable, laid back atmosphere all surrounded by the peacefulness of books and the fascinations of what they contain. If you haven't been, you need to got to the magnificent adjoining library, look through the stacks, and then take a break by having lunch in this establishment. Take a friend and then have a conversation about those books all the while enjoying good food, good people, and good vibes.

We went there for breakfast/lunch on the morning of the 4th and it was packed!! We got seated with in 10 miuntes or so and ordered lunch and breakfast items and when are food came it was hot , fresh and very good. The waitresses were very busy and friendly.
