My husband and I ate lunch here at the advice of a nearby shop owner. We each had a chicken salad sandwich and my husband also had the chicken tortilla soup. Both were served with chips and a kosher dill pickle slice. VERY GOOD! Wait service was friendly as well. The place is small & was very busy but we were seated right away. As we left, there were people waiting to be seated.

This place is great! From the old squeaky porch to the old pictures on the wall, it is full of nostalgia. The food was great! I recommend going early for breakfast. The appetizer is a homemade cinnamon roll. The biscuits are can’t miss too. Don’t forget the gravy either.

While passing through on a business trip a local took me to The Dotted Lime, said it was a great place for healthy local food. I found it to be fantastic and wished I lived in Columbia so I could return more often. I had the "Something to Taco "Bout", which featured SW Chicken bacon, SW slaw, cheddar & ranch on corn tortillas. I highly recommend it but there were other things on the menu I'd like to try too. Sandwiches to pizza and much of made with locally sourced foods. The floor is painted with chalk board paint so kids can go wild drawing on the floor. Fun, cool atmosphere, though located out on the strip, I think they'd be great in a downtown location.

This old warehouse building houses several different levels that they've turned into art studios, pilate, yoga classes as well as a wonderful little donut shop and eclectic restaurant (CAB Cafe). We didn't venture into the donut shop since we were looking for something more substantial. However, we did run into a friend who had just visited the donut shop and said the donuts were delicious! The CAB Cafe caught our attention as they've created a very eclectic environment using fifty/sixty era booths and a huge wooden trailer complete with tires and tabletop which serves as a large counter. This is a vegetarian restaurant. We visited just as they were opening. They have a very diverse menu. Even though I'm not a vegetarian, I would not have trouble finding something good to eat there. They let us sample the Basil Thai Soup and it was wonderful. Had we been looking for lunch rather than breakfast, we would have gone with it. The servers were friendly and very engaging. We ended up with avocado waffles. It was a scrumptious waffle garnished with flavored cream cheese, chia seeds, avocado, tomato and spinach all lightly sprinkled with paprika served with a side of delicious sweet maple syrup. I would not hesitate to have this again, but there were so many different interesting combinations that I want to try that it might be awhile before I get back to avocado waffles. :-)
