Canton is a town, incorporated in 1806, in Hartford County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 8,840 at the 2000 census and 10,292 as of the 2010 census. It is bordered by Granby on the north, Simsbury on the east, Avon and Burlington on the south, New Hartford on the west, and Barkhamsted on the northwest. Running through it is the Farmington River. The town includes the villages of North Canton, Canton Center, Canton (Canton Valley), and Collinsville. In September 2007, Collinsville was ranked in Budget Travel magazine as one of the "Ten Coolest Small Towns In America".

The menu features an array of classic American and comfort foods. Eager to enjoy some serious calories after 8 hours of back-breaking gardening, I was open to anything and wanted something really tasty and worth the caloric splurge. Nodineâs pastrami Country Reuben sandwich delivered - it was actually amazing.For meat, I chose pastrami rather than brisket - as promised it was delicious, well cut and lean. I swapped smoked provolone for the smoked swiss (perhaps diabolical to some) and it blended exceedingly well with the thousand island sauce and very tasty sauerkraut. If you get this sandwich to go, be sure to grab a few napkins. Seriously, this was one of the best sandwiches I have had in at least a decade. I will return soon. I ordered onion rings. A generous portion, but I did not love them - they were a little too spicy.

We wish this chain would be more consistent. We came for a late lunch and were very pleased with the food and the service. Judging by the other reviews this is not always the case. Our waitress, MaryJo, was helpful and attentive. Our burger bites and molten chocolate cake were served hot and perfectly cooked. This was a very nice, convenient break on a shopping day.

My family tried out this BBQ place while visiting family. The food was awesome. I love BBQ sauce and I love to try them all, but to me, the test of excellent BBQ is whether I can truly revel in just the smoked flavor of the meat itself. The Firehouse Smoker nailed it! I didnât want to sauce up, I just wanted more and more of their delicious meats! I went with my family, so we ordered a variety of meats and I tried them all. All of them were delicious!! I look forward to another visit this year when we return for a family visit.
