O'Charley's

Our menu is filled with classic American dishes like steak, salmon, burgers, sandwiches and salads, as well as other traditional favorites like slow-roasted prime rib and our famous chicken tenders, all at a great value.

Treated to one of the most unexpected food highlights I could imagine. I live in the NW and was shocked at the wonderful and large serving of cedar planked salmon served at this delightful restaurant. I am reducing carbs in my diet but had the grilled asparagus and broccoli, ... well worth it! A delicious meal served expertly by an attentive but unobtrusive waiter. My partner works in another city in Northeast Georgia and raved about the salmon, I had to try it and was extremely pleased, This is a chain restaurant that I tried for the first time. It i now a fav and I would put this salmon up against andy in the country. I think and hope you can get it at any O'Charley's you may find.

Arrived found a table in the bar area ordered our appetizers right away, the boneless chicken, the wings were dry and tasted of old grease. The waitress forgot our ranch and bleu cheese dressings so the wait began finally received the dressings and discovered the disappointing taste of the wings. We finished them and got our checks without ordering the rest of our meals.

Rome City Brewhouse

The Southwest veggie burger is one of my favorite vegetarian options on Rome's Broad Street. Brewhouse always features great live music and I always love ordering myself a Short Hot Blonde (RCBC) or two. The other food there is also very, very good and isn't your typical "bar food." It is certainly worth a visit if you are looking for a more casual local option in Rome without scrimping on quality.

Going Caching 2018. Pretty busy place for a Friday lunch. Finding parking on Broad Street can be tricky. I believe this restaurant is a chain and have eaten at others before. Standard buffalo hot wings, great fried pickles, and a chef salad were our fare. No complaints, fast friendly staff took good care of us. The joint almost feels like a college bar. I can endorse this restaurant.

The downtown area of Rome seems very nice. Old storefronts and a mostly easy vibe. It seemed natural that a restaurant called The Mellow Mushroom should be a stop. Where do I begin? Restrooms were filthy. The music at 11:00am was ridiculously loud and with what sounded like a blown speaker, it was intolerable. The menu (mine had catsup all over the cover) is typical pub with burgers and pizzas along with a few apparent local favorites. The pizza was doughy and chewy, not how we like our pizza but some may like it. The burger was ok but the bun bottom was soggy, borderline wet. The burger came with roasted red potatoes that were pretty good but I found it interesting that “upgrading” to chips was an option...for an additional $1.50. I would have expected that to work the other way around. I eventually ordered a salad to offset my disappointment in the other menu items and it was not bad, but it was a small portion.I good scrubbing and a menu update could only improve this place. In fairness, Rome is a college town and I suspect that this place gets a good following of younger folks more interested in the beer and dating scene than much else.Thank you Chubbahill for talking the time to write a review about my restaurant, the Mellow Mushroom in downtown Rome Ga. I apologise if things we not up to par. I take pride in my restaurant and I'm truly sorry if things were not exactly to your taste. I appreciate your feedback and as always we hope to see you again.

Got the referral from a Berry College student and the meal did not disappoint. It's a busy place but the entire staff works together to make your visit a pleasure. The food is Southern comfort and is delicious and is served hot and quickly. If you have a pet, you can both eat on the roof. The walls are decorated with fun hangings and paintings. But, the food is the thing. The Cuban sandwich was huge and the Chicken Salad is fresh with big chunks of chicken with celery and onions and a home made dressing. The sweet and sour cucumbers are made in house by one of the kitchen staff and are delicious. Had an appetizer of Fried Oysters. I try to be gluten free but had decided that this sounded too good to pass up. I really lucked out because they breaded with cornmeal instead of flour. Oh, what a delicious treat. And, the in house tartar sauce was great, too. The hot sauce was too hot, so just didn't eat that. W
