We enjoyed the meal. We had chicken, fries, mac and cheese, meatball sub, and salads. The food was good. We sat in the second room because it was quieter than bar area. Music did get louder, but they were nice enough to turn it down when asked. would deffinately find this place again.

My wife and I and two other couples had brunch here on Sunday. We had reservations and they honored them on time. The parking lot isn't paved and it's all gravel. The restaurant itself is very charming, quaint, romantic, and rustic. There's a porch for outdoor dining. High grades for the ambiance. We began with a couple of fresh fruit platters and a breakfast basket. We had to ask for dishes since none were on the table. The fruit platter consisted of fresh blueberries, blackberries, cantaloupe, and grapes. Not a large portion. The breakfast basket consisted of a couple of very small muffins, a couple of croissants, and biscotti. Omelets, blueberry pancakes, and the thick French Toast, were the items of choice at our table. The omelets were popular and didn't have any complaints. The blueberry pancakes consisted of 3 medium/large pancakes stuffed with plenty of blueberries. The thick French Toast was actually thin and it consisted of 6 thin triangles. However, very tasty. They provided 100 % pure maple syrup with the pancakes and French Toast which is always popular with me. As a coffee snob, I would say the coffee was very good. The service was ok but not friendly. It took a long time for our food to come out after we ordered our main dishes (30-35 minutes). When the restaurant filled up we noticed we had to start yelling at the table because it got very loud. Thankfully, we were almost done at that point. Bad acoustics. Bathrooms were clean. Prices were a bit on the high side. It's quality over quantity.

The energy is just amazing here. It’s got a real Manhattan vibe, very trendy. The food is fresh and delicious and they are always nice about making substitutions. The waitstaff is wonderful as well. There are very few outside tables but worth waiting for if you like people/dog watching. The Morristown green is sort of across the street. Eaten here many times and always a great experience! Beer selection is nice and prices are very good.

Our first visit since the new chef updated the menu. Great changes. The scallop ceviche was sublime, the addition of avocado puree inspired. The swordfish special over a tomato and eggplant coulis was excellent. My brother had the updated chicken offering and could not stop raving, after consuming much bread tasting the sauce from my swordfish. We tried the special desert, a freshly baked peach tart which was also excellent. Great wine choices as usual from master host Chris Cannon. The service was spot on, as usual. Do try the Game of Thrones inspired cocktail.

George & Martha's American Grille

Since opening its doors in 2007, George + Martha's in Morristown, N.J. has been offering a modern American menu in a sophisticated and fun atmosphere. The restaurant features an exciting nightlife, from Happy Hours to live entertainment and hosted events.

A small group of us ate dinner here this week. The bar is separated from the dining area and my favorite aesthetic element was the hand-painted mural on the wall, depicting a romantic silhouette of a young, svelte George & Martha. Our waiter was friendly and attentive but service was a little on the slow side, probably because it was a Saturday evening and the place was packed. He started us off with some complimentary cheese biscuit which we devoured. The Goffle Farm Brick Chicken ($23.00) was tender and we loved the crispy, cheesy potato side that came with it. The Grilled Flat Iron ($27.00) came out nicely done, and the open face steak sandwich ($16.00) was also a winner, served on a bed of mixed garden greens. We shared a side of the signature “George’s mac and cheese” ($6.00), a bougie take on the classic macaronic dish highlighted by a rich béchamel sauce. We were tempted with dessert but the meal was filling enough and we didn’t want to wait around. I like George & Martha’s and I would come back to try some of the other menu offerings. I found some of the entrees to be on the pricey side but it looks balanced out by their happy hour specials. A clean bathroom always makes me feel better about the establishment and they didn’t disappoint. Thank you so much for your 4 star review of George + Martha’s American Grille! We are very happy to hear you enjoyed your food, service and overall experience with us. We appreciate the kind words and we will pass this along to the staff and the kitchen. We do offer a brunch menu on the weekends, could be something fun and cool to check out. See you next time!

I frequent end of elm with friends and sometimes solo. The drinks are always on point, the food on the seasonal menu is consistently great, well seasoned, and there are options for everyone. My vegetarian friend can get a delicious veggie burger while I enjoy chicken and waffles! And you have to try the tuna pizza. Yes, end of elm is a little off the beaten path but sometimes it’s nice to get away from all the nonsense on south street. You wont regret a visit to end of elm.

We've been patronizing the Tavern since it opened. The food and service have always been at least at least a 3-star experience, far above the casual chain restaurants with similar menus. However, on weekend evenings, we noticed the management is no longer taking the restaurant and its patrons seriously. The important customers are now the after-party people who've finished the wedding celebrations and are drinking up a storm at the bar. And bringing their drinks into the Tavern, overrunning the customers who are still completing their meals. Last Saturday, there were couples, beer bottles in hand, unapologetically hanging over our booth, others taking selfies beside our booth. Truly, we were hemmed in by drinkers all around us, oblivious to their rudeness. Sadly, management didn't come in to survey the scene. We complained to our server who herself was upset with the situation and said it happens every Saturday night. We gulped down our food and left never to return.Thank you for the review Bevert. I do apologize for the rude guests that were in the dining area with you while you were trying to enjoy your meal with us. If you wouldn't mind speaking a little more in-depth about your experience with me my email is [email protected]. I look forward to speaking with you soon.Jeff LeeManagerGk's Red Dog Tavern

It's a place that you go to after work to unwind, enjoy some decent discounted appetizers during Happy Hour, drink some Samuel Adams and maybe meet some ladies. I had the Pretzel Burger ($12), Angus beef, American cheese, shredded lettuce, Russian dressing which was all served on a soft pretzel bun. Oh yes, it also came with fries. I won't mention how many Sam Adams. They have a free popcorn machine that is pretty much always refilled and though it is not gourmet popcorn, it's still good.Let me talk about the decor. I hope you like frogs because there are more frogs hanging up on the walls than you will find in a Florida lily pond. After you enter, you are going to find a long corridor which leads to another door. A long central bar awaits you which is surrounded by TV screens, a main dinning hall and to the right a smaller bar with a pool table, shuffle board and dart board nearby. I hope you don not like conversation because if conversation is going on you will not hear it.The Famished Frog is right on the square in Morristown so parking options are limited. Try to find street parking, walk two blocks for free street parking or pay for garage parking about a block away.

I reveled in the Good Morning Burger (pork roll, fried egg and hamburger) with ho-hum french fries (better if they were fresh cut)$14.00. My spouse enjoyed a steer herder for $14.00 and others enjoyed the Mac and cheese burger and the brie burger all for 14 or $15. We had a very tasty spinach and artichoke dip ($10) and an order of fried pickles for $6.00. All in for four adults and a ten year old for $102.36.Service was superb at the lunch hour; prices were very affordable even in confiscatory Morristown. Food quality was above average but not gourmet. The hamburgers were offered ONLY rare, medium or well. I ordered mine rare and it came medium and my family ordered their's medium and they came well done. I have found that unless one goes to a true high end steak house, the "doneness" is whimsical at best. Same here. In sum, great service, creative menu, good food but not low cal or low fat. Be forewarned but enjoy the decadence.
