This was a good stop during an excursion to Placerville on motorcycles. It's a very casual environment, we were there in the late afternoon so the dining room area was pretty empty. Cheerful service was provided by Twila and we ordered a Diet Coke ($2.55) and a glass of Madrona Riesling ($6.48) to start, along with a Souper Bowl Clam Chowder ($5.95), Grilled Talapia ($12.95) and a Combination Linguine plate ($17.95). The chowder was pretty good, as was the perfectly grilled fish. My other half didn't care for the Linguine dish because she felt it was too spicy for her taste, although some might really like it for that reason. It would be a good place for a quick lunch if you're in the area.

Jack Russell Brewery Downtown

I've been to the Jack Russell brewery in Camino, which I highly recommend, so I looked forward to the Placerville brewpub/restaurant. It was a nice evening, so we sat on the large shaded patio, which was very pleasant.I saw a Help Wanted sign on the door, and I had read several TA reviews commenting negatively on the service. Well, they've somewhat eliminated that issue, at least on the patio. One orders and pays on the cash register kiosk, then takes a number to the table and the drinks and food are delivered. That's the first time I've seen that outside of a McDonalds. Interestingly, when paying, the lowest tip percentage that's suggested is 15% - you'll have to decide whether you think service still deserves 15% when you're entering the order yourself (you can override it with a manual amount). Nevertheless, the system was easy to use.I was looking forward to an IPA, but unfortunately they were out of the one IPA they brew. Oh well, I enjoyed the Irish Red. Our beers arrived promptly. I love good fish and chips, and theirs was excellent. The Mrs. enjoyed the day's special, the unlimited taco bar.Prices and the outdoor seating were fine, and service was fine too, if limited.2 thumbs up, but frankly, not enthusiastically.

This place has amazing burgers. Several varieties including the bo peep lamb burger. And don’t forget to ask for the sweet potato planks and ranch dressing instead of regular fries. It is SO good! But it is so much food my husband and I usually split a burger. Maybe if we didn’t start with their homemade soup or an appetizer, like their stuffed jalapeños we could order our own, but I like our way just fine.

We were happy to find a local place to get hot Pho on a cold snowy night. We were really impressed. It had a fun vibe. Mix of sports bar/restaurant. The food was great, good service. The owner introduced himself and chatted with us. Great guy! There's a lot of variety on the menu. This is a great neighborhood place and convenient location for people traveling to Tahoe. Very family friendly too.

My spouse and I went out for Easter "Dunch", and it was great! He ordered the BLTA, which came on toasted sourdough bread, a bit too buttered for his taste, but the bacon was thick and not fatty, and the avocado pieces were big. He had the side of sweet potato planks, which have gone up since our last visit in November ($2.75 extra), but still were good, tho too much salt. I ordered the Hula Hog Taco, under the small eats, and they aren't small (this is a positive statement). Delicious sauce - chipoltle, and the flour tortillas were hand sized and there was oodles of pork, and I was full after eating it. We also ordered a Beer flight, 5 choices, and what fun and what a great way to taste some of the beer. Their choices in all are about 16 or so, so 5 x 4oz gives a good variety. We tried the Kino Hefe from Crooked Lane, the West Coast Wheat from Napa Smith -both of these were light beers, not bitter, and not strong tastes, but good, the Danish Red Lager from Figueroa Mountain - very good!, the Gneiss Stout from Solid Ground - tastes like a Rauch Beer from Germany, very smokey! and then the Old Town Brown from Auburn Alehouse, my favorite! not too strong, but a very nice taste and not too much alcohol. Emily was our server, and did a nice job, was sincerely friendly.

Seems you drive and drive to get to this little hideaway spot, but it's worth it. Friendly and prompt service, and food is really good. The atmosphere is really noisy though. Especially when they get a karaoke going. Hard to hear each other while you're talking. Especially liked the fries! Burger was a burger, and price was reasonable.

Cold, blizzardy evening and Pollock pines and this was the first place I stumbled onto for dinner.Service was fast and friendly. Steak was tasty, although it was fried. French fries were fresh and they were also very good.but the salad with the blue cheese salad dressing was my favorite part of the meal.I'm not sure, but the blue cheese tasted fresh and homemade.if it wasn't homemade I definitely want to find out where they got it.

Had the beef stroganoff and it was.... Comforting and delicious! The chunks of beef were plentiful, the noodles were clearly home made, the spaetzle was tangy and the perfect accompaniment to the stroganoff, and server Debbie was excellent in her service and knowledge of the available meals. It was a great evening. We ended with the Apple strudel as a take home and it was the perfect sweet and delicious end to a great meal! My friends had the cordon bleu and the mixed skewer and they were very pleased with those meals. Btw, have the strudel with ice cream... Cannot go wrong! !
