Nice place for a couple of beer.Food? The "Seafood Mix" was straight from the freezer, not very interesting, but the Norwegian style fish cakes are ok.But then again, they may very well have other food that I did not try.

We felt very welcome and were greeted warmly on arrival by a exceptionally service minded Swedish hostess. We had the burger with coleslaw which was delicious. We also tried the blue Chardonnay. An unusual wine. Don't think l will have that one again, though. All in all this place has become really nice after the new owners renovated. In the blue hours between 7 and 9 pm you get some of the wine bottles for NOK 300! We will be back!

Nice sportsbar, with some space outside as well. They have some different beer, and the menu mostly consists of pizza, burgers and some mexican food. Tried the pizza, can't recommend it. If you are here for sports, they have several TVs around.

In Arendal on business, needed a light meal just to keep me going whilst staying at the Thon nearby. The service was very quick and friendly, the food choices covered most peoples' requirements - I don't have any allergies or special requirements, but the menu (available in both Norwegian and English/American), was very clear for gluten and other dietary issues. Ate here twice as it was very good value for money.

Putting the "gastropub" label on every piece of paper in the restaurant does not really do much for branding when the gastro part is such a sad affair. This used to be the place to go for a mediocre lasagne in a room that smelled of last night's party, now it seems to be the place to go for over priced burgers and under cooked potatoes. Oh, and "spareribs" that are actually a single, not very large piece of rib at a completely ridiculous price.
