Things to do in Moonta
Casual drive turned into 'what's for lunch'- a friend had raved about the 'new burger bar' at The Cornwall in Moonta- so there we were, looking for a feed and right outside their door.3 sliders at $19.90 will fill the lunchtime 'tank' of most Ozzie blokes!!Good staff, working their butt off adds to the enjoyment of the afternoon. Not The Best burger, but Nice.Worth a visit because they are trying and their limited staff really care.

Not fault of management, there for evening meal and unfortunately were short staffed. Those staff working handled the situation and very apologetic. Went back for lunch the next day and it was amazing. The waitress on both occasions was exceptional. People need to realize that sometimes situations arise that are out of peoples control and are very quick to judge. Give this place a try, i would come back.

Itâs a lovely little cafe with a fantastic view, the owners have obviously been there since day dot. Not the best customer service, but the toasted sandwiches were very nice. Just take it for what it is, a step back in time in a quaint little area.

Glad we stopped in here. Nothing fancy, just a nice clean deli type cafe with an excellent choice of food. We had quiche/salad, Chicken strips/chips & a Steak Sandwich. All were delicious. Staff were really nice and double checked all was ok for our 3 y/old. They were concerned for the size of the milkshake glass and offered to get one easier.. We were fine tho. Seating inside the cafe or also outside under a fully covered area alongside.

A group of 8 of us came to eat here and were given secluded dining area which was fantastic. The large round table was perfect for conversion for all of us. The service was attentive and friendly. All meals were very good and especially noted was the seafood oyster scallops and fish!

With glorious views over the dunes and the ocean, it's the perfect place to eat, drink and relax with friends old and new, after an enjoyable round of golf. The Deck Bar & Café and golf shop is a fully licensed facility for members and guests alike. With
From a humble destination, this bar, come restaurant punches well above its weight...and is delightfully what the standards of good eating and drinking should be. Amongst an ideallic setting especially at sunset, the refreshing tap beer and local company provide a familiarity and warmth which make visiting more than just a quick stop.On several occasions i have been more than impressed with the food, and the seafood platter is without doubt the best in the region...made fresh, cooked fresh and where the chef allows the local jewels of the nearby sea to shine. Nothing comes close to competing with how good these platters are. The current chef too could also be decribed as a local jewel and her talent is on show every time her imagination runs wild, albeit with a keen eye for attention to detail. With so much to offer customers, and space for children to play, you could easily kill an afternoon enjoying the view or quench a thirst after a round of golf on the excellent Greg Norman designed course. Offering live music on Sundays and atmosphere makes this place unique, and those who know about it are probably happy to keep it to themselves yet this is the epitome of coastal life amongst Yorkes many great destinations.

We had the pleasure of devouring a full serve each of the Port Hughes General Storeâs Sensational salt & pepper calamari & chips pack, (although we didnât get through all the chips) this bang on, melt in your mouth Calamari & the chips were great as well, they also do Streets Scoop Ice-cream which is really nice, apparently the Yiros are awesome as well, the store has Fuel at a competitive rate, and a bit of everything mini convenience store, batteries, fishing tackle/ bait etc.

Fantastic, friendly service. We called in here unexpectedly for lunch on Good Friday. Such great, personable staff and the hotel itself has so much character. We explored and looked at the photos displaying Moontas heritage and read the info alongside the pics. The meals were great and of a decent size. Pricing was a little high but in all honesty Iâm willing to pay that on a public holiday.

Iâve found Capellaâs to be consistently good over the years. Itâs a regular spot for locals like myself, as well as hugely popular with visitors. Great coffee. Always trying something new. These guys work hard all year round, not just in tourist times!
