Having a stop over in Hollister just by chance we were looking for a place to dine. Obviously not too many places offered in a higher level - ths we decided to try the Japanese restaurant. It is neat, rather small btu offering quite a selection of sushi (we didn't try) and few other Japanese foods.The price efficacy is extra ordinary, means you really get a good meal which tastes good for rather little money. Not to soiund disrespectful - its a rather "every other day" place to go - means: not one of these spectacularly fancy places - however we liked it much due to friendly staff, good taste and price efficacy. As mentioned: just great for a swift tasty light but satisfying dinner on a stop over ...

We ate here New Years Evening. Nice environment and exceptional service, better than in most fancy places in the Bay Area or in Monterey. Their menu is large, the preparation of the food authentic. Don't be shy, just tell the waitress if you want your food spicy or not: They will accommodate you in the kitchen. We tried several of the "meals for two" and liked all of them. Surprise: Eating here is a lot cheaper than you may expect.

If the Lunch Special is any indication of the quality and quantity of food here, ROCK ON! Asparagus with your choice of meat, an egg roll, some tender tasty crispy wontons, and fried rice for a about $7.00. Got our meal fast and no complaints! Can't wait to come back and try some other dishes. This eatery is tucked away in a strip mall behind a McDonalds. Find it, and you'll be Happy too!
