While convalescing in Bourg St Maurice after an operation on a broken leg we hobbled down to this fantastic little gem of a place. Incredibly welcoming and couldnât do more to make me comfortable. Great atmosphere and service. Wine selection was good and shortly we were sipping an excellent Bordeaux red. (Which on top of the pain killers makes one very relaxed). With very little waiting we were served our mains which were way beyond our expectation. Really, really good and one cannot say enough to justify this great little place.

Busy but not full restaurant in Les Arcs 1950. Complimentary amuse bouche rather large and filling (duck pancake rolls) but good anyway. Foie gras average, snails good and croquettes ok. Good fondu with mushrooms. Veal probably best dish on the night. There were two waiters for the whole restaurant and they were doing a fabulous job, albeit just a bit stretched. Unfortunately desserts took 50 minutes to arrive, by which time we were pretty much asleep. One of the desserts was incorrect but by this time we were too tired to complain. Three courses, four people, a bottle of wine and a couple of beers came to 260 Euro.

We went to this restaurant at the recommendation of the friendly receptionist in the hotel we stayed in. Coming from Asia, we didn't have high expectation on the taste nor the quality of Asian cuisine in the smaller towns in France let alone a buffet meal. We were pleasantly surprised. The buffet had a generous spread of Vietnamese, Chinese dishes and even sushi! Variety of desserts was excellent. We were so happy to find tasty Asian food after weeks of French cuisine, we had a satisfying fill that night. Price was so reasonable, service was good, we couldn't ask for more.
