Clean, cozy, excellent menu, home cooking, nice atmosphere. Order a full meal, a pizza, or something light, it's all on the menu. Nick and Sue care about the patrons they serve. Can't say enough, don't miss out on this jewel.

The station is elegant and has been restored to the point that you can enjoy pretending you are in the past. Staff dresses in railroad themed clothing. Birthday wishes are done with blowing train whistles. Very cool. Food is excellent and portions are huge, Plan on bringing home leftovers to feed the family for a few nights. The Porter Steam engine and the steam aged wood parlor car are excellent memorabilia to photograph and adore. Amtrak Lake Shore blew past while we had dinner and it was cool since it was close to being on time. There were no announcements that that train would come through. Good thing I had Google to look it up.

Hey, what can you expect? After driving around looking for a quick bite to eat this place has everything you could want at a restaurant by the side of a road type of place. I wouldn't necissarily travel out of my way to go back, but the prices were good, the food was good, the servers were nice! Burger was ok (cooked well), fries were a bit soggy for some reason

Went to Mason's with some workmates . I had never been there before and had no idea what to expect. It has an open floor plan with additional barstool counter seating as well. The service was excellent. The staff was very friendly. I had a Rueben. When it was brought out I was nervous because I thought it was cut too thick and would be a tough sandwich. Boy was I wrong! It was so tender I couldn't believe it. Super juicy, fantastic flavor. I will be back. All I hear is great stuff about them. I understand why now.

We got both the bone- in and the boneless wings. Both were very good. I got the ghost pepper buffalo sauce, which was delicious. Super spicy and yet still flavorful. They have a big bar, with a lot of options for beer and cocktails. It was a lunch visit, and the place was pretty slow. I guess because it’s only a few months old. Sure hope they get busier. The area needs them. VISIT THIS RESTAURANT!

Salem Cross Inn Restaurant and Tavern

The Salem Cross Inn rivals The Publick House as a wonderful venue for those seeking a sumptuous culinary experience in a Colonial New England atmosphere. The difference is that Salem Cross offers a gorgeous country setting, rimmed by green hills and well-manicured gardens that produce fruits and vegetables in season. When we left the car, we were greeted by a pileated woodpecker with a brilliant red tuft. (I had to look up the “pileated” part) It was an appropriate welcome. From a food perspective, we were quite satisfied with the presentation and the quality of every course. I sure would have like a fourth baked stuffed shrimp though. I had to hit their delectable bread basket a little harder than I would have liked. Other than that, my wife enjoyed a nice portion of scallops. The dessert — strawberry rhubarb pie with a dollop of vanilla ice cream — capped off an enjoyable experience. We had been to Salem before for 2 of their special promotions. We went one winter for an absolute feast featuring beef slowly seared over a fire in the hearth. The Drovers Feast was also a voyage in gourmet delight. A visit to Salem Cross Inn soothes the senses, especially for those who crave a trip back in time.

This is a place that we go to often. The thin crust pizza is pretty authentic, they put a good amount of sauce and cheese on them. Check out their 'two for' pizza days, they give you two cheese or pepperoni pizza for a discounted price. A pretty good deal. They have a large array of subs, like all these places, you can get dozens of different ones. Everything is made fresh for your upon order.

We went on their Tuesday "Polish Night". Being Polish, we do go to places that serve 'authentic, homemade' Polish food. You can't wait for the few times a year for the local Polish church to have their events, and often don't have the time to make these wonderful items at home. The place itself is quite pleasant, decor is subtle and the staff we met very friendly and pleasant. Service was good. Now, for the food. Is this 'authentic'. Well, as with any ethnic food, every family have their own recipes. The ones for kapusta (cabbage soup) and glompki (stuffed cabbage) are not like mine. The plate came with kapusta, 3 pierogi, three grilled chunks of kielbasa, one golompki, and two half slices of seeded rye bread. That being said, the kapusta was thick, and loaded with meat. Can I say that it was all pork? Not really, but it was flavorful, and my hubby liked it a lot. I thought it was ok. It had a bit of a smoky taste, the cabbage was soft and you could eat it with a fork which was good as you were not given a spoon for the dish. It was hot. The three pieces of kielbasa were halves of the sausage, and about 3 inches long each. It was grilled, and stayed on the fire a bit too long as there was just a little too much 'char' on them, especially around the edges. They were therefore, overcooked. However it was a good quality polish sausage, probably Blue Seal, a staple around here. Kielbasa was warm in temperature. They did offer 'mustard or horseradish' and the horseradish was very good, authentic, and made your eyes water as it should. The three pierogi were small. Heck, there isn't much in these little tasty treats to begin with, but these were VERY small, maybe 2 1/2 inches in length and clearly not much more than a bite. They were barely warm enough to melt butter. The bread was very god but was a bit dry, even with butter on it. Now, the golompki. One of the things I noticed first was the color of the cabbage leaf. It was a fairly bright green. That would mean that the cabbage used to make them were an outside leaf (which I would never use) and it was undercooked. When I cut into it with my butter knife, (you did not get any other type of knife) it was mostly impossible to cut the cabbage leaf. Plus, opening it, the golompki was cold. I was given a side plate, put it on it, and the waitress took it back to get it reheated. It took what I considered an overly long time to get it back, and yes, it was hot, but the green cabbage leaf did not cook any further and was still tough. These are served with a dollop of tomato sauce on top. Not even enough to wet the entire golompki. Once it came back after reheating, that little was even gone. There was a large amount of meat in this, a mix of pork and beef. I make mine with only beef, so I was not thrilled with the taste. However, the entire thing was DRY. Like so dry it was inedible. Hubby hated his and both went into a container and they went home to see if I can fix them (I couldn't) so they went to the dog. At $13.95 for this plate I would say it is overpriced for what it is. It's a good sized plate and more than the average person will eat, but the quality is not there, and as for 'authentic, home cooked? Well, they did make it in house, so its not commercial food, but authentic? I guess that is debatable. My comment as we left was that it was clear that it was NOT made by someone who was Polish, but by a chef who took some recipe he found off the internet. If anyone from Hanna Devine's reads this - your chef needs to make a couple phone calls to the ladies at the two Polish churches in town who do their food events. They will let you sit in, and show you how to make correct pierogi and golompki. You will have to give them a night of your time, but you will learn to make them right. Golompki never uses the outside leaves that are harder and you need to cook it so that they do not dry out, and then your leaves become very moist and almost fall apart tender. Many of us do them in roaster pans with salt pork and a bit of water, or in pressure cookers. All in all, I think Polish night needs to be skipped. Wait for the church to make the food, do it yourself, or go to some of the other real Polish restaurants in Chicopee. We will not go there again for this meal and would not recommend it to any of our Polish relatives. All you can say is that it filled you up.

Great breakfast I love that they ask you how you want your bacon and they have pretty good home fries. I like building up my own side order platter. Waitstaff was attentive and pleasant despite being busy. Would love to see more extended breakfast hours, wishful thinking. I have never had lunch here, I am sure it is great too, but the breakfast is yummy.
