Location to the hotel was good. I was working from my room and got hungry and was able to walk over. The facility was nearby but I was uncomfortable at how all of the tables were uncleaned. I took my sandwich back to my room

O'Charley's

Our menu is filled with classic American dishes like steak, salmon, burgers, sandwiches and salads, as well as other traditional favorites like slow-roasted prime rib and our famous chicken tenders, all at a great value.

Ok food, very average service, nothing to write home about. The service could be a little better but there is a good food selection and O’Charley’s is a welcome addition to this small town.

We had a fantastic anniversary dinner tonight. We started with cocktails (a great list of both cocktails and other drinks) and a outstanding started of cauliflower “wings.” When we were asked about our sauce choice, my husband requested something curry. They didn’t have one on hand but the chef made one up on the fly for us, and it didn’t disappoint. The flavors were balanced with a bit of spice, sweet, and all around curry flavors. My husband enjoyed his salmon and my sweet tea brined fried chicken was so delicious. I could not even finish the entire portion. Guess I have a lunch to look forward to tomorrow.Service was wonderful. Very attentive. We even enjoyed a conversation with the owner as we finished our meal. This is Nashville-quality fine dining at very reasonable prices. We will certainly return to try some other things off the menu that last ones equally interesting.

Was at the post office the other day in Springfield, was checking trip advisor for a place to grab lunch and Willie Mae's popped up only 143 feet away!! Parking is limited so I parked on the side street. So glad I did!! This quaint little place was amazing!! There was a line, and the lady running the front was great!! I told her this was my first visit and as busy as she was she made me feel like I was the only customer in there. She explained everything on the menu and even made some suggestions. They make everything there to include all the sides. The brisket sandwich which I had cole slaw added on top was the best I have ever had!! Very moist and full of flavor. Also had the bake beans that were delicious!!Can't wait to take friends!!

In the land where home cooking usually means lots of grease, this place is a treasure. We had breakfast here and the food was great. Because we are low carb we declined the biscuits and gravy and the waitress cheerfully got us cottage cheese. The omelettes were light and fluffy. I would have given 5 stars but the coffee was a little weak. (I am used to making my own expresso so that could be why I am critical of the coffee). Oh I did I mention the waitress was very attentive and accommodating? My wife’s RedHat group had lunch here recently and my wife was very impressed with the food then. Check this place out. You might just feel like one of the family.

If I could do a grade of 3.5, I would. The dinner was slightly better than average, but not quite "very good". The catfish was good with a light, crispy coating. It wasn't super flavorful though. The fried okra, which comes at the beginning of the meal complimentarily was also good and the sweet pepper relish at the table for dipping went well with it. The white beans were good, and the hushpuppies were really great! Service was good - very friendly and efficient. Overall, it was an okay dinner, but nothing you couldn't fix in your own kitchen.

Burdett's Tea Shop & Trading Co.

We had seen something online about Burdett's and decided to give it a try. I was cautious, seeing that we would be driving almost 2 hours, but the possibility of finding a really nice Tea Room was worth the trip. We were NOT disappointed. Springfield is an old town, and there is not much going on in the downtown area, but Burdett's is on a corner, and as soon as you walk in, you know it is going to be a nice experience. It was pretty full on the Friday noon time when we came. We decided on the Tea for Two, and I added an additional Quiche (sausage). The Tea for Two came with the bottom plate having 2 delicious and large raisin scones, with clotted cream and jam. The middle plate had 2 cheese biscuits, with several little crackers and cheese, and 4 small sandwhiches, 2 each of chicken salad and egg salad (the 4 of them make up one regular sandwich, cut into 4 triangles), The top plate was filled with fresh cut fruit (melon, strawberry, grapes, blackberries, apple) along with 2 cookies, 2 brownies, 2 snicker-doodles. To be honest, that was enough. We did not eat the top plate, and just brought it home. It also came with a nice hot pot of tea, enough for us to have at least 2 cups each. Oh, and very nice touch: the tea cup was warmed. We had been in London (UK) back in May, and during our 2 weeks there, we did some nice tea's (Bath Pump Room, Cafe Concerto, etc) and Burdett's compares very nicely. Every thing was spendid and fresh and tasty. Especially the scones, they were so plump and big and the clotted cream and jam were just right. I believe we will be making a trip back to Burdett's. I can highly recommend it.

I arrived to meet co-workers who had gotten there earlier and already ordered their dinner. Server came to ask for our drink orders. I asked about draft choices. they don't have draft but bottles, I asked what they have she lists about 3 choices(I have never been here before) I had to ask if she had this or that. She never gave us menus, I asked for from another server passing by, there was an entire page of beverage choices I could have chosen from if I had a menu to look at. We had to ask for our silver ware after the apps had arrived. I had a salad with my dinner which arrived after my entree. I did order the salmon which was good. I got the spaghetti squash as a side, which was covered in a plop of red sauce and I got 3 clumps that had seeds in it, did not eat and took salad for to go.
