I always find this restaurant filled with friendly people both staff and customers. It feels like coming home. Two eggs, homes fries (really just French fries), a sausage patty, English muffin and juice for $9. I was in and out in 25 minutes. Have never gone away disappointed. Breakfast only. Parking on street or in lot across the street.

An early morning errand brought me to Northampton. After that mission was completed I asked a local police officer for the best coffee shop that was not a chain. (Who better?) He immediately responded, "Sylvester's," and his partner nodded in agreement. Easy to find. No problems parking on a Sunday morning. Attentive staff, with a sense of humor--during a hectic morning rush--which gets double points from me. Wonderfully flavorful, fresh coffee. And, Oh my! the raspberry pop tart was sweet and juicy and try as I might I was unable to eat it slowly. On my next trip I will arrive earlier and have breakfast. I recommend you do the same, but do as I suggest, and go early--bring an appetite.

Across street from Mount Holyoke College. Great location, but previous restaurants here have been lackluster. Yard House changes that. Good selection with excellent variety. Appears popular with locals. Great music the night we dined. Guitar and vocalist who were excellent. Not overpowering, but great renditions of 60s, 70s, 80s classics. Food reasonably priced. Enjoyed everything we ordered. Recommended when in area.

This comfortable, relaxed atmosphere is a delightful place to hang out, read, write, study, visit .... whatever! They serve a variety of coffees and teas and wines and beers and delicious pastries and have stacks of used books available to read or purchase. Evenings offer open mic and live music; recordings are pleasant during the day. Very casual and enjoyable.

We've been going to The Mick for years now, and still love it! I can honestly say I've never had a poor dining experience there. The food is always fresh, and beautifully prepared, and the service is always outstanding. I am still thinking about one of the most delicious salads I have ever enjoyed. My main course was the salmon, cooked to perfection. But the salad of crisp, thinly sliced apples with walnuts, Romaine lettuce, Maytag Blue Cheese was exquisite. The Extra virgin olive oil and citrus dressing made this so delicious. I encourage anyone to order this amazing salad...and I will return for it soon. I might order two! Also, the Napa cabernet sauvignon was perfect.

First time I have been. They did an outstanding Brunch.The selection of food was great, there was something for everyone.
