Repeat patron - so many sandwich combinations to try. Every one has been an incredible taste treat. If you like pickles, order the sandwich "fully loaded." A large choice of condiments available. Stopped here with some business colleagues for dinner. Overall steak quality was good, but the salad bar and baked potato were only ok. Small potato being kept warm and over-done. salad bar had the basics. probably not worth the price.

I am obsessed with the food here. You can't get a better deal than this place. The calzones are massive and there are tons of varieties to choose from. This has a little bit of everything and is the perfect take-out food.

This was our first visit to a chick filet and we all liked our choices. By the time we ordered for the 6 of us the burgers were made and drinks ready! The waffle fries were crispy and the chicken wrap came with a choice of dressings as well. The fresh flowers on each table were certainly a nice touch but the beautiful roses in the ladies room, and friendliness of the staff certainly made this place a 5 star stop!!!

we were at a training conference for 3 days and went here twice. I had been here before. the Salad bar is really good. YOu can buy one trip or unlimited trips. vanilla, chocolate, or vanilla/chocolate twisted ice cream is availble with dark chocolate syrup in a bowl or a cone and is included for every purchase. good selection of soft drinks and teas, flavored or unflavored, sweet or unsweetened. I've had several types of selections and all are very good. Rather large place and the line moves very quickly. they bring your food to you and they are constantly clearing and cleaning the tables. wait staff is very helpful and friendly. Lots of glass makes for a happy place to me. bathrooms are well kept, too.

Cool vibe and we love the history. Service was above average and food was phenomenal! I had the BLT flatbread- probably the best flatbread Iâve ever eaten. Hubbyâs seafood Alfredo was also amazing.

My daughter and I had dinner here to end our first day of a girls trip. Sean, our server, provided impeccable service and answered all our questions regarding our curiosities about the delicious menu. We ordered five starters/small plates and as he and others brought them all to the table, we felt pampered and as if we were having an important celebration! Well, of course we were... we were celebrating another amazing Epiphany Farms experience! We give kudos to Sean and to the chef!The sweet corn soup with flan... I could eat this every day! The starters varied from Summer Squash Napolean, which was so good and served with ricotta, the bruschetta , which was exactly perfect, and the cornflake chicken. I could stop right here, because itâs âthe bestâ chicken my daughter or I have had. .... it would be sad, though, for Me to complete this without mentioning the dessert. We shared the chocolate soufflé, served with homemade caramel corn, fresh berries, caramel sauce, fresh whipped peanut butter, and chocolate. That dessert alone also, would be a good reason to travel back to Bloomington. And although that would mean a four Hour drive for us, it is not out of the question!Buon appetito!

It has been more than six years since I last reviewed this restaurant and in that time the food has steadily declined in quality. Recently tried lunch and dinner two days in a row and found the food was consistently of mediocre quality. The burger bun was dense and undercooked. The burger meat flavor seemed under seasoned. The turkey sandwich the next day lunch was insubstantial and fell apart. The fries were good. Although the food was mediocre, the service and the beer remain good. The kitchen needs intervention.

two families celebrating college student birthday, October 2019easy to find, easy to park.lots of seating broken up into several areas by high walls. nice bar seating area w/ TV'swas not overly impressed by their in house beer selections; if you like IPAs you'll be happy; not much on the lager side; they do offer several flight options.their food is very good. appetizers... try the asparagus sticks, tasty; entrees.. sea bass, trout, pork chops, chicken sandwiches.. all were very good... wife & I thought the highlight of our dishes was the accompanying items.ambiance is a bit loud due to the high flat walls but our table of eight seemed to all be able to communicate fine... even with other tables seated close by.service was excellent!would i go back?yes, but only for the food. they've got a really good looking menu.Thank you for the feedback; we're glad you and your group enjoyed your visit. My wife and I planned to stop in Bloomington-Normal for lunch on our drive home from St. Louis to Chicago. My pre-trip research indicated that Fort Jesse Cafe offered the top-rated lunch in the twin city area. When we got there, however, we learned that breakfast was the local favorite. In our view, lunch was good enough. Located at 1531 Fort Jesse Road, west of Veteran's Parkway, in Normal, it is a cheerful cafe serving diner-style breakfast, burgers and salads from 6 to 2 Monday through Friday and from 7 to 2 on Saturday and Sunday. If you want to find out what's going on in football or basketball at Illinois State University or the local high schools or what the St. Louis Cardinals (not the Chicago Cubs) are doing, you'll find lots of conversation at Fort Jesse Cafe. Between bites. My wife had a Midwest salad with chicken on Romaine lettuce with black beans, corn, white cheddar, fried onion rings, tomatoes, red cabbage, carrots and house-made BBQ sauce and a chicken BLT sandwich with chicken breast, bacon, egg over hard, lettuce, tomato and chipotle aioli on grilled sourdough with grilled chips. I started with a bowl of Cajun gumbo with shrimp, andouille, chicken and Cajun vegetables topped with white rice and served with jalapeno cornbread and a Ray's burger with an Angus beef patty, bacon, gouda, fried onion rings, chipotle aioli and house-made BBQ sauce on a brioche bun with fries. It sounds as good as it tasted. Two hands full of delicious. Wonder how they handled the Cardinals getting swept?
