A truly amazing and refreshing place in the heart of a chaotic town!!Great honest and wholesome and FRESH food! I had an amazing COFFEE & ACAI bowl and can honestly tell you, it was Devine! We stopped in after walking up the beach for about an hour, looking for a refreshing drink. Looking down from the Malecon this looked like the best place and we weren't disappointed. Vern had a Pilsner and I had a pineapple smoothie/shake. It was delightful, naturally sweet, very refreshing. As I'd almost completed the drink he brought out the rest and refilled my glass. I was stunned1 Who does that? Then to top that a street sweeper came by, working and he asked if he'd like some water. The man said yes. He got out a plastic cup, full of ice and water and gave it to him. You must give props when someone is a decent human as well as a good business man.

I stayed in montanita for a month while studying Spanish and found this place in my last 2 weeks. I wish I had found it sooner! The pancakes are unreal, and the lunch deal is ridiculous. For 4 dollars you get delicious fresh healthy lunch, usually soup, main and a cupcake and fresh juice. The cupcakes are incredible and coffee is delicious, hard to find better in montanita. To top it all off the owner is super friendly and speaks perfect English. Im not even a vegetarian, but I kept going back for more.
