Reviews on American food in Kaneohe, Hawaii, United States. Kāneʻohe is a census-designated place (CDP) included in the City and County of Honolulu and located in Hawaiʻi state District of Koʻolaupoko on the island of Oʻahu. In the Hawaiian language, kāne ʻohe means "bamboo man". According to an ancient Hawaiian story a local woman compared her husband's cruelty to the sharp edge of cutting bamboo; thus the place was named Kāneʻohe or "Bamboo man". The population was 34,597 at the 2010 census. Kāneʻohe is the largest of several communities along Kāneʻohe Bay and one of the two largest residential communities on the windward side of Oʻahu (the other is Kailua). The commercial center of the town is spread mostly along Kamehameha Highway.

Wow, what a pleasant surprise! I’ve had breakfast here before and had a fine experience. The food was good and the setting is fantastic. Beautiful views in an exotic location. Now I actually think they’ve lowered their prices to where they are now one of the breakfast deals in the area. The food was great, the service excellent and as I mentioned the surrounding is exceptional.

When you think of Kaneohe, you think of beautiful beaches, warm tropical breezes and a laid back beach atmosphere. But in the center of it all is Adela’s Country Eatery. Established in April 2019, Adela has been creating fresh made noodles every morning. But if they run out of noodles... they close! So come early and order your favorite! Adela trained in Okinawa, Japan and the Philippines to perfect these dishes! She’s always testing different types of noodles and ingredients, so come by often to try them all out!The best has got to be the marunggay and the Ube noodles. The bread fruit noodles is also worth the wait! All the dishes are fresh cooked in the back of the open kitchen! Check this place out and say hi to Millie in the front!

We were in the area and looking for a brunch location. Kaneohe Pancake House isn't fancy but the breakfasts are good, the coffee plentiful, the servers pleasant, and the prices fair. As another reviewer pointed out the parking lot is small but we had no trouble finding a spot.

Best arrive early. The restaurant opens at 430pm, we were there at 440, and by 5 it was full! We got the last open table directly overlooking the ponds, amazing view of the mountain and jungle-like vegetation. Go for the Small Plates, get them all and share - poke, shrimp, ahi, ribs, sizzling mushrooms, calamari - I forget them all. The main entrees - served to an adjacent table looked huge! Not to be missed.

Fete

New American, Farm to Table restaurant featuring many of Oahu's farms in the Heart of Chinatown. Craft cocktail program with a wine list leaning towards the boutique and Natural Wine movement!

My friend and I celebrated our 50th Birthday’s at Fete (thanks to the recommendation from Kevin and Stephen at Hilton Garden Inn) and we loved every minute of our dining experience. Located a short and direct bus ride from Waikiki (#13) we arrived ahead of our booked time and were immediately seated overlooking the kitchen where we decided to stay for the entire night – fun to watch the chefs and great to talk to the staff. Our waitress, Mona, was excellent in every way – engaging, helpful, professional and really looked after us. And, Chuck, the restaurant owner with his Executive Chef wife, also made our night extra special – particularly with his amazing wine knowledge (yes, I never thought a great Riesling would come from New York). We started off our night with a Fete 75 Cocktail (yum) before I had a glass of the Dr Konstantin Frank Riesling from New York (yum). My friend and I shared an appetizer of ahi tuna which was incredible – as suggested by Mona, perfect for sharing – and with a great combination of fresh flavors. For my main, I had the grilled pulpo (octopus) which was perfectly cooked and delicious (plus not too big). My friend had the Chaz Burger which she devoured with gusto. And in a restaurant like Fete, you must have dessert, so I had 2 scoops of the Rocky Road To Hana Ice Cream together with 1 scoop of the Raspberry Lychee Rose sorbet – an amazing combination. The ice cream is homemade and is the best ice cream I’ve ever eaten – like wow (nearly licked the bowl). And, in celebration of our birthday, the ice-cream was served with a birthday candle! Nice! We had such a wonderful and special evening at Fete! Thanks to Mona and Chuck for making it so awesome.
