We stayed at the ANA Holiday Inn and found this small cafe in a small street just across from the hotel. We went int o have a coffee and started talking to the owner who is originally from the US.The coffee was great and we returned for breakfast coffee and snacks the two following days.Not only was the coffee and food good but we also received excellent advice about dinner restaurants and sights to see in Kanazawa which even included details of ways to walk to get the best experience (e.g. along the river, etc.)We are delighted that we found this cafe and highly recommend it.

The service is brisk but friendly and as you would expect in Japan, super efficient with great attention to detail . I can understand that others have found the house rules from the chef rather unusual but he appears to take great price in what he does and just like some of our British chef, it is his way or the high way . The food and drinks were delicious and the cleanliness through out is exceptional . The waitress has amazing English and was most helpful . I had the vegetarian burger but as previous review, note there is no burger, it is a layered sandwich effect of deliciousness on the most tasty bun, filling and beautifully presented . Our only compliant is we live to far away to go back

Whether youâre desperate not to have to eat another Japanese meal, or you are just looking for some variety, or youâre an American-foodie... Blue Moon offers it all: solid hamburgers, Cajun jumbo, caesar salad, quesadilla... the dishes, the way they are presented, the plates on which the food is served and the accompanying salt shaker and ketchup dispenser... it reminds you of american food. Authentic, as is the american trained chef. Not expensive. Fresh ingredients. Friendly, English speaking service.
