Stopped for lunch on the way to Albuquerque, decided to do the buffet. Should have just rummaged in the bar ditch along the highway for something to eat. Everything was cold or just lukewarm. Everything was incredibly bland. Fried pork chop had to be cut with the supplied steak knife and two hands, really tough. I found a couple of items I could eat so I could just get back on the road. I will not return here.
Small, funky, independent BBQ joint with a drive thru for big rig truckers! Seating is outdoors and carside svc. for auto drivers. The Carolina BBQ--in NM!--is absolutely fabulous. Very reasonable prices for excellent BBQ, brisket etc. As casual as it get
Pulled over to grab some lunch before heading out into the park and was absolutely wowed with the lunch! Had the pulled pork, creamed corn and potato salad and loved it. Homemade, fresh and fantastic. Worth the stop!

I always get the bacon burrito with red sauce. Always very flavorful and the staff is quick about getting my order out. Being a regular there has definite advantages in that quite a few of the staff know what I want without me having to tell them. This is one of two Blakes that I frequent.
I had run into someone I knew and thought we might grab a bite to eat together but he wanted cheap and I wanted good so we parted ways.He went to Subway and I came here. I could have gotten a Philly at Subway for less but not as good. I was glad I spent the extra even without good company. Also had a cup of Potato soup, I was expecting a creamy soup but this was more like a white broth. Flavor was good, but it was just white broth and potato's. I guess I was expecting 'loaded baked potato ... with cheese, bacon, etc
What made KFC great is still making them great. KFC is one of the few brands in America that can boast a rich, decades-long history of success and innovation. It all started with one cook who created a soon-to-be world famous recipe many years ago. Secret
Very good lunch on the highway. The chicken was succulent, the sides very good and the beverages tasty. A good interlude on a long road trip.

What a nice experience! Hidden behind trucks moving through the exit ramp, this little shining example of fun is a great place to go. The owners came over, shook our hands, thanked us for coming. The atmosphere is pleasant, clean and the cheeseburgers and tea were fabulous. Fresh brewed iced tea is a mark of a good food place!

We were driving from Santa Fe to Gallup. Near noon we were passing several casinos and truck stops, yet it was difficult to discern if a nice lunch spot was within. Checked our GPS and glad familiar Denny's popped up and close to the highway. Friendly staff and hearty portions. I had the senior turkey dinner and found it still too big to finish. Breakfast for my hubby was a good choice too.

We went here for the last night that we were in town visiting El Malpais. The food was fantastic. Definitely the best restaurant in town. We had steaks and they were juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. We would highly recommend La Ventana to anyone looking for a great meal.
