This Restaurant is now The Branding Iron. The restaurant is in a casino in rural Nevada so my expectations bar was set pretty low. That it exceeded those expectations may not seem like much of a compliment, but it is. Some of the good things that met expectations were: friendly service (advantage of small-town spots), basic no-frills food, and a relaxed atmosphere with no hipster urban vibe but not overly country cowboy good-ole-boy. The not so good things that met expectations were: the walk through a VERY dark, smokey, old casino; lack of signage to indicate where the restaurant and restrooms might be (luckily it is a small casino); and (diva quibble) no outlet to plug in my laptop for a working lunch. So the great things that exceeded expectations? My lunch was very good. I ordered my usual benchmark meal - soup of the day and a BLT. The soup was Chicken Tortilla. It tasted more like chicken-vegetable but was still good. It had large chunks of tender chicken with vegetables and a very rich broth. The BLT was well made. The sourdough toast was lightly toasted (as requested) and the thick slab bacon was crispy, warm and very flavorful with just a hint of smoke. The lettuce was fresh and whole leaves and the mayo was the right proportion - just enough to add richness and moisture, but not overwhelming. The tomato was a tad too thick but tasted reasonably close to the real thing for this time of year. So this is another great option for eating in Fernley when traveling on US-50.

Small town restaurant/bar in Lamoille. Also....the only place open on a Sunday afternoon. Four beers on tap and we tried the Ruby Mountain Amber Ale - very nice. Must admit we felt a tad out of place since we were not wearing cowboy hats, nor cowboy boots, nor old worn jeans. Regardless, after a few hours in Lamoille Canyon, we sat and relaxed and were welcomed. Outdoor seating available for a cooler day.

We were driving along i-80 and decided to stop in Fernley. When you walk in its a little smokey due to the casino/bar area but once you get into the restaurant lobby area it's no longer smokey. The menu is large and they offer breakfast all day which is a positive for us since my wife enjoys a late breakfast and I prefer lunch. We were seated right away had our drink orders taken and we perused the menu. My wife decided to get the farmers skillet and I chose the patty melt. They also have a small salad bar.Our orders arrived quickly and looked really tasty. My wife commented that hers tasted good but did not great. My patty melt on the other hand tasted delicious. There appear to be a lot of locals because everyone seemed to know each other. The service was very good and the prices very reasonable. My wife commented there bathrooms are updated and very clean.

Staying in a RV Park nearby we choose this casino's restaurant for convenience. They had pork sparerib 1/2 rack special for $8.99. Ribs, choice of potato, & a cup of slaw. Added a pass thru the salad bar. Ribs were probably boiled & finished in the oven under a thick coat of commercial BBQ sauce. There was no bark, the only "smoke" was liquid smoke in the BBQ sauce. They were fall off the bone tender but seemed a bit fatty since they weren't done on a grill where the fat drips off. Salad bar items were fresh & crisp, hadn't been sitting around for a long time. We were there at dinner and expected the salad bar to be fresh.

Not loud and annoying considering there was a casino attached. Food was ok for fast food, clean place, clean restrooms. Pleasant staff. Overall pretty good. Easy on and off freeway to.

Stopped for gas and needed lunch. Was not expecting that much from a Denny's but was pleasantly surprised. Luis was fairly busty but gave excellent service. Asked if I wanted lemon in my water (yes, at Denny's) They had senior options and the kale side salad option was fantastic. I would have been satisfied with just that. The burger I ordered was perfect and they had loads of burger options.

First time eating at the restaurant. Itâs a Saturday night and prime rib was available. We were greeted with a smile seated quickly. Our waitress, Beth, was friendly and very very quick. We ordered prime rib dinner with salad baked potato vegetables and rolls. The salad was very nice with cucumbers tomatoes lettuce cheese and serve school with wonderful ranch dressing. When the prime rib Arrived, it was cooked perfectly!! Beth was quick to check if everything was OK. The prime rib was exceptional as was the big potato in the side veggies of squash and red pepper. That was prompted to follow up again. Was a wonderful night with an exceptional me on and we will definitely stop here again in the future.

Good diner with lots of variety of choices all day long. Although we arrived at supper time, we ordered breakfast. The avocado toast was awesome. It had a very generous portion of avocado. Eggs Benedict did not disappoint.Staff was friendly and service was fast at a fair price.I will eat here again.
