Went to Ciro's after seeing a show at the Stadium Theatre. It was a nice night so we sat out on the patio, which is perfect! The patio is spacious so doesn't feel overcrowded. There's an outdoor bar. The waitstaff was awesome! I joined friends who were already there so tried some of the calzone they had ordered...delicious! But I was still hungry so I ordered the barbecue chicken pizza. DELICIOUS! The size was perfect. The crust was perfect. I loved the way they allowed themselves to interpret their own way to make pizza. I'd rush back in a second!

I have been going in for breakfast once a week or so since I moved from N. Attleboro,MA. to Cumberland,R.I. Always clean, good food, and great service. They will refill my coffee a couple of times, and they use a good-sized cup. When you consider the state of Rhode Island, and what it costs to live here, this is about the best deal in the state. No tolls charged to go through the door, no fees charged for R.I.'s General Fund, the owner never robbed us of 38 million dollars, free parking, and they never ask for a donation to build the Pawsox a new stadium. Prices are fair, which allows me to save up for my $200. beach pass down in Narragansett. Welcome to R.I.

OMG. Just the most beautiful sandwich place EVER> The restaurant is decorated like a high end restaurant. They menu's are the napkins and now have daily specials also on the board. They kept it very simple with a lot of class. This has a full bar and a beautiful decorated, I will continue to add. I was so impressed with this gem of a restaurant. So happy we found this lovely place. Great food with great prices. Not lot to choose from, but whatever you do choose will be the best of its kind. Great place for a businessman's lunch or meeting place. HIGHLY RECOMMEND>>

I gave it 5 stars, not for the food but for the experience. And the prices are ridiculously low. You can get a full size milkshake for $1.75. NO that is not a typo. One dollar and 75 cents! It is kind of like an old Friendlys with the preparation in the middle and counter seating around. There there are a few additional small room with booths and tables wedged into every available corner that have waiter service. And these people are fast and efficient. This was our first time here and at our table we had 1 burger, 1 BLT and 1 fish sandwich. It is fast food, but fresh and made to order. We shared an order of large fries and an order of homemade chips. The desserts are also super inexpensive so we have to try them to see what you get. We had chocolate cream pie, cheese cake and carrot cake. The chocolate cream pie tasted like it had been in the fridge for too long. The cheese cake was standard and the carrot cake was the best of the 3. We also had 1 vanilla and 2 chocolate shakes. So stay with me here: that was 3 shakes, 3 sandwiches, fries and chips, and 3 desserts and the bill was $20.You have to try it to believe it.

We had a great dinner here.Super friendly staff. We made reservations for a Saturday night and only had a short wait. Food came out super fast.Lots of menu options. We had pasta and pizza and it was all great. One item was ordered to share and they happily split it for us in the kitchen. Rolls were amazing! Chicken parm was our least favorite and Penne Ala Angelo was the best. Menu online differed from what was offered on site.Reasonable prices.Happy to return.

We were in Cumberland for the summer, & based upon the previous summer's great experience here we had take-out subs (& soup) once/week. The last two times, at the end of September, we got very little turkey in our Dean's List & Pilgrim. In fact, the Pilgrim was all dressing & cranberry sauce on the last time we got subs there. The last time we went there, we explained about our lack of turkey in our turkey sandwiches in our previous outing & asked the cashier to oversee the operation. He told us that they had been training a new sandwich maker, all the kinks were worked out, & he guaranteed a good sandwich. I guess the kinks didn't get worked out, as the sandwiches were terrible. The subs had always been great prior to the last two visits. We won't be back in Cumberland until next summer and we will give J's another chance based upon their previous good product.

Patriot's Diner

Reviewed By 743NEILS

I have been in diners all over the North East. As I travel quite extensively and I prefer to eat at diners. This Patriot Diner in Woonsocket had meatloaf on the menu. So I wanted to give it a try as I love a good meatloaf. I'm not saying this to just complain for the sake of complaining, but this was absolutely the worst Meatloaf I had ever tried in my life. They serve it with mashed potatoes and green beans. The potatoes were good, the gravy on top was good. The green beans were also good. The meatloaf is served in three pieces that kind of look like odd shaped hamburgers. They're covered with gravy, the best part about the meatloaf was actually the gravy. We ordered the meatloaf dinner for me. A deluxe burger for a family member and chicken tenders for another family member. The tenders and the burger were good. My dish came with a salad and soup. I chose the chicken soup, it was good did not taste homemade I think it came out of a can which was why it was good I guess. The salad was horrible I did not even take a chance on eating it. The lettuce was obviously days old oh, and the three pieces of tomato that were on the plate in the lettuce was obviously sliced days before. Wilted damp lettuce and wilted starting to dry up tomatoes is a total embarrassment for any restaurant. The meatloaf is obviously not homemade either it looks like something you might find in a prison type of setting. I guess it's baked but then maybe sliced and then it looks like the slices of Meatloaf are warmed up on the grill, sort of burnt actually on the grill, and then they try to hide their mistake with gravy. It should have another name, it's not even close to being considered meatloaf. No I don't think I'll ever go back to this place.
