I think it is a very good option to take kids (or even the adults) in a day you can't go to the beach. They are new, so there are a few missing things, but totally worth the visit.

Just north of Itajai you come to Picarras, maybe its just out of season (early oct) but just seems a sleepy town used to just chilling and thats the feel the long beautiful beach gives you. Nice and clean, great views and the only sound is that of the waves crashing to the shore, the only drawback is there does not seem to be any bars handy, again to some this is a bonus. A beautiful chill out beach.

My wife and I bumped into this hidden gem while in Brazil earlier this year. This is a great place to relax and fish. There are also restaurants, swimming pools, and other things for everyone to enjoy. My wife for example, just relaxed and took in the sun while I fished. One of our favorite things were that this visit was pretty economical, while we really enjoyed ourselves. Everyone was really nice and they made us feel like at home. I would highly recommend this.

Em Piçarras está presente a Recrea Locação Recreativa, com bicicletas, cadeiras e acessórios para praia. Alugamos bicicletas e fizemos um lindo passeio pela orla marítima. As bicicletas são excelentes, em ótimas condições de uso, como todos os equipamentos necessários. Os proprietários são pessoas amabilíssimas e todo o material para alugar é novo e muito limpo. Fomos muito bem atendidos. Vale a pena esse momento de lazer.
