The Lonely Planet ranked this as one of the best bars of Brazil which to us may very well be one of the most grotesque things ever printed in any Lonely Planet guide. It is a English style pub... nothing more, nothing less. It has an okay food menu, a decidedly better beer menu, and they do okay caipirinhas. The one thing we couldn't avoid wondering about though was: the reason for us to come to Blumenau was to soak up some faux-German atmosphere while pondering its history. What were we doing in an English style pub? We left after one drink and headed to one of the terraces outside.

Drove 40 mins from Blumenau to this restaurant and was not disappointed. We had made a reservation the day before. To start off as we waited for our table on their sunny veranda, we had a round of great bierland ( local brand) weizen. A bit disappointed that the other 2 choices were brahma and skol. There is one dish served here which is roast duck with several german and some less german but great sides. Everything was really well cooked and reminded us of a christmas meal. Service was friendly and attentive. We definitely recommend it!

I have been there a couple of times with my friends. My recommendation would be to go early like 19:00, to ensure a good service. If you go in a late friday you will have to wait in line to get a table, and as they will be full, service will not be the same. They are located near the main university campus downtown in a street full of great bars and restaurants. I have heard that the owners of Pepper Jack also own another great restaurant called Figueira which I highly recommend as well. Their menu is composed mainly of hamburguers and mexican food. They have a delicius veggie hamburguer made with cheese and mushrooms. You should definitely try it!

Nice restaurant with outdoor Seating and decent pizza. I enjoyed dinner here, although for the price, the pizza was a bit salty.

What a great surprise this place was !!!
This old house it's quite hidden from the main restaurants and has a lovely italian feel and great service.
The pizzas are baked in wood oven and came very quick, many many options for vegetarians are available on their long menu. Wines and beer selection restricted but good .
Very affordable price!

The Margarita Pizza is my favorite. More than 40 types of pizzas, meat, pasta and salads. A large wine menu and cold draft beer from local brewer and traditional ( heineken). Good central place with valet parking.

Para integrar o ambiente a natureza, combinamos todos os elementos em um mesmo lugar.. arvores, flores, frutas, ervas e agua. As plantas existentes no local foram preservadas, alem de diversas mudas nativas acrescentadas a margem do riacho. Existem dois ambientes a disposicao: o Deck, com mesas menores e mais despojadas, para se divertir com os amigos enquanto saboreia um bom chopp, e Salao do Lago, com mesas maiores, dispostas em ambientes mais reservados em torno do lago para se aproveitar uma boa refeicao em familia ou um grupo maior de amigos. Figueira is a premium choice in Blumenau. Nice environment, nice people, and fair prices. Food is very good, mainly the steaks, served in a combo with a choice of salad, rice, potato, and farofa (a traditional Brazilian dish made of manioc flour seasoned with butter or garlic). No doubt that this is the top notch place in the city, being in the same level of a good restaurant in the main cities of Brazil.

This restaurant it's located in the "neighborhood" called Prainha, a little outside Blumenau's downtown, the restaurant offers a great view and a deck with outside Seating.
The lunch service was a self service buffet (all you can eat) , the food it's good very nice and fresh salad, but the main dishes are very meat based, leaving us vegetarians with salads and maybe two options, the waiter was helpful enough to bring me something from the buffet without bacon when I asked.
The environment it's modern and good for a business meeting. The restaurant it's not as busy as the downtown restaurants

Midday has a line in front this restaurant...it has fresh salads, good side dishes, varied dishes with meat, chicken and fish...and lots of desserts...you should try at least one.
