To travel all the way to the Yamaguchi province was for one only reason, the Motonosumi Inari Shrine because I have seen all the lovely photos on internet. It just happened that I went there on a Saturday so the traffic was really bad since there are very limited parking space and there is just no public transport. Got stuck in a traffic jam for nearly an hour, but being able to be there in person means that all the hassle paid. The sky and sea in sapphire blue, the red Torii’s and the greenery - you just cannot find such a view elsewhere!

Museum is completely great..But the greatest thing is the street view.. Along the street you will find several puzzle which looks like a famous japanese poetry author and inside the puzzle there are several message..It is so interesting.

This place is interesting, especially when you enjoy by the boat..So different sensation...You can see several island and several stone architecture on the seashore by GOD . Wave sensation completely great.

I went on a Sunday and I saw many Japanese out with their families for picnic at Senjojiki. I cycled to Senjojiki from Senzaki Station in Nagato city. I started by renting an electric bicycle from the rental shop at the pier near Senzaki Station. From there, I cycled along the coast to reach Nagato-Furuichi Station. Then, it was an uphill cycle up to Senjojiki and then downslope to Motonosumi Inari Shrine. The to and fro journey took me 6 hours + 1 hour for lunch.
Back to Senjojiki, the location is on top of a hill and there is a good view of the rice fields near Nagato-Furuichi Station. It got slightly foggy which was quite interesting. You can also see some birds (eagles or falcons maybe) circling the skys. This is definitely worth a visit if you visit Nagato city! However, I would suggest that you cab here. (The cycling is quite tough)

If you go to Yamaguchi prefecture-Japan you should visit this place. Beautiful scenery with pretty Red shrine. You will feel the good combination of natural and man-made beautifulness. However, there is no train or other public transport access to this place.

Definitely fun for adults and priced reasonable. Kids - they will be excited for first 15 minutes like everything else, so bring your iPads and snacks!
Our pictures weren't as good, because it was a cloudy day. For the best view, chose a sunny and clear day. We still enjoyed the tour. Check out when the ship leave, and buy tickets at least 15 min prior, otherwise, you may end up waiting for the next ship, an hour later.
I strongly recommend being at the aft and starboard of the ship. The view from the open aft deck is certainly the best.

大変由緒あるお寺だそう。1400年代からあるそうです。湯本温泉に宿泊後、訪れました。敷地はかなり広くゆっくり歩いてまわると1時間以上は掛かります。

別名メモリアルロード。
海上アルプスと呼ばれる、海から林立するような鋭い岩の景勝地を鑑賞できます。
一番インパクトがあるのは象の鼻です。
遊歩道の展望台からみたり、浜に降りて間近でみたりできます。
自然にできたとは思えないほど、とても不思議な形をしています。

長門市中心部から北西に約15㎞、日本海に面した標高約330mの高台に広がる草原です。青い空と白い雲、広大な緑の草原、眼下には紺碧の日本海と白波、浮かぶ島々……。まさに絶景です。2月初旬だったため、気温が低く風も強かったため、ゆっくりと景色を楽しむことができませんでしたので、是非また訪れたいと思います。なお、ここには広い駐車場と小さな店、トイレなどがあります。
