What a great place, so much to see, do and eat! There is an inside restaurant, Reservations recommended, outside eating, BBQ's picnic area, your choice. Theme decorated to the season, we were there with Halloween theme. Great for couples or families of all ages. A drive from Iwakuni but well worth it!

Ganesh is some of the best Indian food I have ever had!
Get the Maharajah set which comes with two curries, two meats, a side salad, and the best Naan bread you'll ever eat, with a drink included.
Food is amazing, comes quickly, and can be spicy from Mild to "make you cry."

When staying or passing through Iwakuni, most people visit Kintai bridge and Sanzoku (Chicken Shack), little do they know they are missing out on one of the best restaurants. Uhee (Uhei) Often called "Fish Tank" by foreigners in the area, this restaurant never fails to deliver delicious meals. It resides at what people call "Four Corners". Outside there are parking spaces. If memory serves me right, it's about 8 parking spaces outside. It's called Fish Tank because it has a fish tank in the window. Inside customers can sit at the counter, at tables or at tables on tatami mats. Both male and female bathrooms are always clean. There is an upstairs area for large groups or parties. This is an izakaya so it offers everything from sashimi to yakitori to fried dishes.
There are English and Japanese menus with some pictures to help explain. For most of my life, I had never liked asparagus until I went to this restaurant. They wrap asparagus in bacon and cook it over a flame. Definitely one of my favorites. Another one is large scallops (hotate) wrapped in bacon! Everyone at the restaurant is very friendly and are quite accommodating. Besides the food and restaurant employees being great, the price is also great. You won't have to spend much money to enjoy this restaurant.

A main stay for the folks from base. A good selection of toppings and additions to your curry. They have menu in many languages. Not great food but good comfort food. A place to get something you can enjoy.

This is my wife and I's favorite ramen restaurant in Iwakuni. Simple, inexpensive, and delicious it provides a great atmosphere for having a conversation or just eating quick and getting back on the road. The fried rice and gyoza are amazing and the wait staff are very friendly.
