A definite must for those who loves taking pictures of beautiful landscapes. It was a beautiful sight and the weather was cool, breezy and magnificent. The viewpoint is situated in a perfect spot, whereby photographers and those who want to admire the beauty of the area, can simply stand and watch in amazement.

you can stop and pay to park or do what we did - parked at Kawayu visitor centre and walked 2 km each way through the woods, which was very pleasant

Magnificent lake with pretty swans to admire at. Huge lake surrounded by mountains. Great place to chill and relax. We parked near the big souvenir shop where you can get plenty of gifts and ice cream too.

Warm up your feet on a cool night at this foot onsen. It is free and can accommodate many people. We went there on a cool Autumn night. Stand or sit closer to the little hot water falls for a much warmer sensation. It is quite relaxing for the mind and soul. Sit down on the benches and soak your feet in this heavenly foot onsen, while enjoying its surrounding scenery. Your feet will thank you for giving it a treat. We stayed adjacent to Kinkiyu Hotel. Very short walk to other shops as well. It is a must do list if you happen to be nearby. Definitely worth the travel.
