Reviewed By pjaaronbThis complaint is towards the manager of this hotel. She was filled with pure hatred towards me. I believe this had to do with the color of my skin. She also accused me of smoking weed in the room.. I told her multiple times, that she was free to check the room. She didn’t of course, because it’s always easier to just accuse someone and walk away. Rather than trust your diamond elite member who has stayed at 100s of holiday inns. I will NEVER return to this hotel. Regular staff held themselves to a better level of professionalism than the manager, something is wrong their. And too put a cherry on the top, as soon as I walked out of the facility she called me the N word. So thank IHG for the great racist experience at Wharton TX holiday inn

Reviewed By dleatxComfortable, clean hotel. Large rooms. Next to Buccees and across the street from Walmart. Reasonable rates. Helpful desk staff. Right next to Hwy 59 on highway 102. Not far from downtown Wharton and downtown Glen Flora.

The receptionist was very friendly and accomodating and there was absolutely nothing wrong with our room. It was clean, had a comfortable mattress, a refrigerator and microwave and looked friendly. The bathroom was a little outdated but clean and the hot water pressure very good. The amenities consisted of a little soap and shampoo but did the job. The pool area looked very nice but it was too cold for a closer inspection. Breakfast consisted of waffles, cereals and muffins. Maybe because there weren't many guests that there was a limited choice. he townsquare of Wharton is worth a visit, very nostalgic! We would stay there again.

Reviewed By MichaelK17187We stayed here a year ago and the place has gone down hill a lot in 1 year. There was spider webs in the corner of the walls, chairs was very nasty stained, holes in the wall. No security lock on door, soap dish in bath tub/shower was broke out of the wall, bath room door was coming apart. Bed spread had burn holes in it. No good place to park a trailer. And the price of $75.00 is way to much for a place like this.

All around worst hotel in the area.
Reviewed By eptowerhandThe rooms looks like they tried to update them but, did a sorry job of doing so. The owner is very disrespectful to the guest and will not let you get a word in during a conversation. He looks for any reason to jack the price up on the room's. He treats the guest as if he is doing the guest a favor by letting you stay there. When I checked in, they said they have coffee in the morning for the guest. I might would get a cup every other day and he complained about me doing so. This hotel has serious water issues. It turns a dark brown to the point that even the washcloth looked like you threw it in a mud hole. They have low income families that live there with lots of kids in a double room that is always running up and down the stairs at night. Always screaming and, yelling.
