Whenever I go near South Fremantle I try and include a trip to pick up a delicious gourmet hot dogThere’s the more basic offerings for the traditionist or fussy eater, ones for vegans and vegetarians and then some really flavour punched and stacked ones. The hot dogs are always very filling and I only grab a side if I’m very hungry. They do dine in and takeaway and have gluten free buns for the celiacs. The decor is quirky with toy Cars mount d into the walls, old bus seats and drum stools as chairs. Also some laminated where’s Wally for the young at heart mounted onto the tables to entertain while the food is being made

Sweetwater Rooftop Bar

Myself and partner visited Sweetwater this arvo for the Sunday yum cha,$45 for 9 servings, on the expensive side but we were happy to pay.Food was all nice apart from the steamed chicken wantons, and the pork dumplings, both very underdone and the wanton wrapper was tough. The service how ever and the wait times in between dishes was horrific, at times we waited over 30 minutes. From start to finish the dining experience was just over 2 hours, for 9 small servings of dim sum that was quite extraordinary. In addition to that we were missed on one serving. It wouldn’t of mattered if the food was 10/10, waiting that long ruins the experience. Won’t be returning Hello, thank you for your feedback. I do sincerely apologise about the extended wait time and disappointing food that you experienced. on that particular Sunday. Our yum cha does usually take up to 1 1/2 hours as it is served degustation style however the 2 hour wait that you unfortunately experienced was unacceptable. We would really love to invite you back and hopefully win you over. If you would like to get in contact with us at [email protected] and provide us with your email address I would love to send you a gift voucher. Once again, please accept our apologies and we do look forward to hearing from you.Kind regards,Linsey

Holy Smokes - rough and ready bar. Decor is complete with rusty corrugated iron walls and beer mats a plenty. Good music and popular with a relatively young crowd. Good choice of beer (I was pleased to see Pabst Blue Ribbon on offer)and spirits. Worth a visit.
