West Yellowstone Hotels | Places to Stay in West Yellowstone

Since the early 1900s, West Yellowstone has provided a tourist-friendly gateway to the geysers of Yellowstone National Park and its resident bison, bears and elk. This Rocky Mountain enclave in southwestern Montana is an outdoor enthusiast's dream, offering snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and dog sledding in winter; trout fishing in fall; birding, biking and hiking in spring; and summer parades and rodeos. In-town eateries and attractions are an easy stroll from local lodging.

First time at Yellowstone National Park

Reviewed By Chris5331

We stayed at Kelly Inn for three nights in the latter part of May, 2022. The staff are polite and attentive and the rooms are super clean. The breakfast is amazing and really fills you up to start a day in the park. The only negatives that we noticed were noisy people above us and a bathtub shower that felt like it was sloped downhill, much like showering in a boat. I would suggest getting a room on the top floor to avoid those clomping sounds and check out the shower beforehand. All-in-all our stay was nice and the location to the park entrance couldn't be better.

Cabins are GREAT, management needs help

Reviewed By 564aed

These cabins are wonderful. We traveled with a dog and having the front porch, kitchenette, the shower, and the spacious cabin were excellent. Gray Wolf Lodge manages them and the desk personnel were just about the worst you could imagine. Slow, uninterested in helping, unable to multitask. I was at the desk 3 times during our stay and each time 2-3 desk clerks could only help one persons at a time. The cabin Wifi was not available - they didn't care.. The phone in the cabin could not reach the front desk - they didn't care. Overall, I highly recommend these cabins - just not the Gray Wolf staff.

Really helpfull people with high service standard

Perfectly located in short distance to "West Yellow Stone" central, where you find a lot of restaurant and turist shopping. In addition it is close to the park entrence. The breakfast is a good start on the day and buffet is open from 6.30 which fit's well so you can experince the park from the morning. Delta airlines lost our luggage during travel and without the really engaged and active staff at the hotel I am sure we would not have seen the luggage again before we where home. Thanks for a nice stay and all your effort to help us :-)

Glamping in Yellowstone

Reviewed By debrahQ3901EY

This was an incredible family trip. The scenic view from our tent was fantastic. The sunrise was beautiful. The staff were so kind and helpful. The evening s’mores at the fire was a great added touch from the staff. The furniture inside the tents were very modern. The beds and linens were very comfortable. The bathrooms were very clean and bug free. I would recommend this for anyone who wants to have that camping experience without the gear needed. We stayed for two nights and visited Yellowstone National Park. Very easy and quick to get there. We also ate two meals at the dining facility at the campsite and it was wonderful food. Don’t miss this experience!

Nice hotel with an identity

Reviewed By LyeCon

We stayed here just the one night, and very pleasant it was too. Good sized room with all amenities expected of the class of hotel. Lots of nice touches everywhere, reflecting the sights of the National Park. Our bed was really comfortable, particularly having a tempura mattress which are really catching on. Breakfasts too are pretty good, with a good selection range. Definitely in the category of above average places to stay.

Wonderful boutique hotel that surpassed all of my expectations! Treated myself to 3 nights here as my 'base' for exploring Yellowstone... After spending long days in the park, it was great to wind down in comfort and style, especially in the really spacious shower. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was delicious - great fuel for hiking in YNP. If you are looking for more than your basic room, this is absolutely your place!
