Amalfi Pizzeria Restaurant

We stopped at this recommended Italian restaurant after spending the morning visiting nearby Migration, South Australia and Art Gallery Museums. Greeted by a friendly waitress, we chose a corner table in the rear as the office/university crowd was beginning to arrive at 12;15 PM. Another smiling waitress presented a drink menu and brought a carafe of water along with bread, balsamic vinegar and olive oil. We chose from the place mat menu before using the clean restrooms. My natural oysters arrived just before the hot Hawaiian Pizza. The food was delicious but the noise level was a bit too high between the music and the boisterous diners for normal conversation. It was hard to imagine an enjoyable experience if the restaurant had been full. Paid with my Visa card, ~$25

Was looking for some good Greek food after too many lazy nights of ordering room service. This place was fantastic. The tzatziki is some of the best I've had outside of Greece. Between the tzatziki starter and the gyros, I was decently stuffed, and quite happy.

Hands down, the best Greek food I’ve ever had outside of Greece. I’ve been to this restaurant many times, and the food is consistently superb and staff always friendly and attentive. Great for seafood and non-seafood lovers as there’s are a range of meat and other authentic Greek dishes to choose from. For seafood lovers, the char grilled octopus is a must to try. Unbeatable price and generous servings. Highly recommend this place!!!

My third time there and the last two times terrible service. Today the female staff member was so rude I make a promise I will never return &will advise my friends the same. I asked a simple thing to have the bill to pay before my friend returned from the toilet. Instead she stood at the bar flirting with the bar person. When Another staff member asked if they could help, as I kept looking over my shoulder, i explained but he didn’t respond. She remained at the bar chatting. By this stage my friend returned After this she brought the bill when my friend was back at table and I said you are a bit late. She then had a verbal go at me saying she had to clear tables when I saw she was only talking with the bar staff.

Service was quick, friendly & helpful when I went for dinner. There is a blackboard with a good selection of tapas type dishes. And there is the imaginative pizza menu.I had the meatball and tomato pizza. The pizza was thin & crispy & there were about two small meatballs on every slice. It was very tasty. There are also two desert pizzas .There is also an extensive selection of bottled wine, wines by the glass & many beers to choose from.

Our hotel recommended this family restaurant. It had very good pizza with all sorts of toppings we got one that had four different kinds to try. It was all very tasty. We had the draft beer too to go with pizza of course. It was an interesting walk we went right by the bronze pigs in the trash cans. Only in Aussie land.

La Rambla

Totally delicious red wine in a very convivial atmosphere and great service. The honey, cheese and walnut were great , along with the potato cubes and baby squid. The only problem was the vension backstop with excellent jus - just wish it was larger for $18 as it was a weight watchers version - or had the deer been on weight watchers. Delicious but the portion was ridiculously small. I recommend the restaurant with glee but don’t take the venison.

As can be discerned from the title, I was less than overwhelmed by George, but nothing was amiss. It was a quiet Thursday. I had the anti pasti, Rather too much for one, the arancini was good and freshly cooked, the fish was also good but the rest was standard stuff. Nice olives. The duck orzo main was also substantial and was tasty, plenty of duck and a good selection of veg, the pickled small onions were a bit overpowering. I had wine by the glass. The riesling was good but the cabernet sauvignon from Coonawara was outstanding. It does have some sediment, suprising for a 2016 wine. Service was good.
