Veranda Beach Resort

Veranda Beach is located on over a mile of private, sandy beach on the sun-drenched shores of beautiful Lake Osoyoos, a few minutes across the border in Oroville WA's Okanogan Valley; Famous for its world class wineries and golf. Clusters of cottages masterfully set in a village reminiscent of the "50s". Guest check-in/out, marina, moorage, boat & watersport rentals, electric chaise loungers, fun boats with waterguns, beach volleyball, firepit, miles of walking trails and more!

Not what it used to be...

Reviewed By wrightreview

Years ago Veranda Beach was our favorite retreat but now it is incredibly over-priced and the current management is unprofessional. Our group has rented several different homes in several different years and have witnessed a marked deterioration in the attitude towards paying guests. Perhaps the management is friendlier to owners than guests? Some in our extended group have rented directly from the homeowners (VRBO) instead of through the Veranda Beach website or management's VRBO listings and were treated poorly at the resort. We had considered purchasing a home but changed our minds. This opinion is shared by all in our extended group. What a shame!

Spotlessly clean & friendly innkeepers

Reviewed By bjmcaferty

We enjoyed our stay at On the Park Bed and Breakfast very much when visiting Spokane on business last month. The B&B is spotlessly clean and the innkeepers are helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the tasteful, vintage 1940's decor in our room and common areas, as well as the ease of accessing the internet to keep up with business. Bob fixed us a delicious and hearty breakfast in the morning.

Perfect secluded cabin in the woods!

We stayed in the wolf cabin for New Years weekend and we had the best time! The check in was so smooth. The owners are so kind and very helpful if you need anything! The cabin itself was perfect, and the view of the forest from our room was incredible. I love that it had a fridge, coffee maker and microwave in the room! The king bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was stocked with everything you need! I loved the rainfall shower! Also the private hot tub on the deck was great, we sat out there while it was snowing outside it was perfect! We can’t wait to come back, I would definitely recommend staying here!

It was a surprise to find this tropical setting in the middle of apple and wine country! The home was beautiful inside and out with all the comforts of a 5 star hotel and more. Jeff and Cindy were very welcoming and gracious hosts while we were there.

Viking Villa Family Weekend

Reviewed By Mamachipmunk

This set of semi attached Condos looks exactly like what I think it is, a residential courtyard community set up from the 1970s. The caretaker here said there used to be a pool on the center of the courtyard and I can just see John Ritter in his Three's Company days prat falling in worth armloads of groceries when I think of that. These days the courtyard has a fire pit, seating, picnic table, barbecues, and toys, and it's lovely greenery. The cottages each have a theme and our family of 4 really enjoyed the Viking Villa. You can tell the staff here take pride in their work and the villa was very clean and well cared for. Linens were clean and fresh smelling, cupboards well organized and full of new and useful kitchen supplies. I think the twin sized mattress in this cottage is the nicest. It's a 13 inch temperpedic or latex foam type. The full/ queen in the upstairs bedroom was done but not luxurious. The fold out couch is exactly as it seems and would have likely done us better had we pulled the mattress off, folded the frame back in, and used it on the floor. If you bring very small children and plan to sleep upstairs, know there's only a bathroom downstairs and the staircase is a metal spiral style with no gate at the top so come prepared. I would think a bar style lock to throw in the sliding door tread at night light be a good equivalent of the flip over or chain style lock at hotels as a second reassurance. I felt mildly vulnerable with the flip lock being the only thing, more because places where keys and codes get used do often have a backup. The property is video surveilled and the villas all face each other and there's plenty of outdoor lighting so it's probably redundant. This villa is absolutely near all the central things in Ocean Shores, but feels very private and hidden. Walking distance to anything including gift shops, beach, food, even the IGA. All in all, a very fun adventure and great for kids. This villa does sleep 5 but would likely be best for 3 or 4 in my opinion. I wouldn't bring an infant or child under about 4 without serious extra preparation and consideration beforehand because of the setup.
