Had lunch at Grassi's on a whim and loved it. The menu wasn't overwhelming, and it had some interesting choices along with the classics. The braised lamb cannelloni was really tasty; the bakin bacon sandwich which was fantastic. If you like BLT's then that's the sandwich to get. Our friends got a pizza and tortellini. The ingredients seemed really fresh and all the dishes were more than satisfying/well made. The waitress was friendly and the bill wasn't outrageous. Great deal for the quality you get, so we would definitely come back.

I live in Iowa now but I lived in Tacoma /Fircrest for many years. I have a friend on his way to Seattle and will be passing through threw there. I made a list of restaurants to try and Viacore's is at the top of the list! I ate there at least twice a week. I miss their 'Viafore special" sandwich.

It is a small place, mostly takeout. Great, inexpensive lunch specials for 5 or 6 dollars. Pizza has a very good crust, tasty sauce, and a good amount of toppings. Many choices. Prices are moderate. One of my top 3 choices in Tacoma. Sandwiches, salads, pastas also available. A new website is due to open soon, I was told. Coupons available when finding them on Facebook.

Joe Stortini has run Italian restaurants for decades, having sold the Mama Stortini's store in University Place, in the 1980's. He had to return under a new name, but kept the family recipes. I love Italian food, and count this as some of the best I've had, having eaten his fare (along with other Italian) in the area, over 4 decades. I just wish he had a good Valpolicella on his wine list. They have an Italian deli, and serve pizza as well.

Saturday evening dinner in the bar tonight. They are always packed and my wife and I got lucky to find seating. Greg tending bar was awesome. Attitude was great and his suggestions were to my wifeâs delight. Needless to say our night was enjoyable. From drinks to the appetizer, dinner then dessert, it was flawless. Thank you staff for the hospitality.
