This is our favorite spot for dependable delicious food. We like ordering bento boxes so we can have two "picks". My favorite combo is chicken katsu and California Roll sushi. Their katsu sauce is the perfect blend of sweet and tangy. Service is friendly and efficient. The restaurant is popular and often packed on weekends so we like to go for an earlier dinner to increase chances of getting a table.

I've always gone to another teriyaki and another sushi place in Fife, and this place in the past needed some exterior upgrades, but once inside, the service was good, the food was good, the prices were good. Not the best sushi or bento box I've ever had, but very good for the area and a huge menu and good portions. I should have tried this place MUCH sooner. Too good to miss.

While in Tacoma for a Robotics Competition, I placed a large "to go" order from Happy Teriyaki for our team and all the family members (about 20 people). Happy Teriyaki did a great job of keeping everyone's orders straight. Everyone loved their food and we were very impressed with the amount of food we received, all for a very fair price. Most of us got the Chicken Teriyaki bowl and it did not disappoint, even though we could not eat it all! Shrimp tempura was also a favorite. Make sure you are very hungry when you eat at Happy Teriyaki!!
