Three couples went there for lunch on Saturday. Great selection of lunches, Our guests had pad thai, larb gai, green curry, red curry, and thai salad. A few had Singha Beer! Overall a very nice place - the only down side was the garden roll hd lettuce and one shrimp, and portion sizes were very small.

A fellow traveler recommended City Corner 2 when I was talking about another Thai restaurant that didn't impress me...he was not wrong! It's family friendly, affordable, and the food is amazing. I wish that I could remember the name of the dish that I had, but it was Crab something or other. No fake crab here and it had fresh perfectly cooked vegetables in a savory broth. I ordered it medium to be safe, but will opt for medium hot next time. If you like authentic Thai food, this is your place!

In the mood for Thai food and this was good but not memorable. Many other options nearby when you are cruising downtown Roanoke.
Thai is our favorite food and we are delighted to have another choice for this kind food in Roanoke; a very good choice. The two of us stopped by for an early dinner at 5PM on a Wednesday and were immediately greeted and seated; we were the only customers at that time. The interior looked rather sleek and spartan, with notes suggestive of Thailand. Their appeared to be about 20 tables as well as seats at the bar area. We were pleased to find that their extensive menu, which included some choices from other countries near Thailand, was identical to what was posted on the restaurant's website. Our Summer Roll app had fresh vegetables wrapped in iceberg lettuce and rice paper. The Pad Thai chicken, which is a dish that I learned to make during a cooking class in Bangkok, and which I often order at restaurants, did differ a bit from what I was accustomed to; it had fewer ingredients (did not detect bamboo shoots, tofu, or egg) and was considerably sweeter. The Green Curry was the star of our meal; boldly spiced, full flavored, with firm bits of Thai eggplant and fresh basil. Interestingly, we recognized our waiter, whose name we did not catch, from the nearby Thai Continental restaurant; he explained that he was happy that he changed (he may be the owner as well). We sure hope this new Thai restaurant is a success; I think we would benefit from finally having a good Thai restaurant in Roanoke.
