This long-standing restaurant in DC is a great place to have authentic Spanish food with great service and great food. From very traditional to specialties all is terrific. The service is normally OK. It also offers, from time-to-time âthemeâ events like Flamenco nights and paellas days. Just a lot of fun at reasonable prices.

I don't say this often (pretty much never) but The Pembroke is outstanding all around. From the time you step in the door, you'll feel welcome. Service is clearly a focus and all of the staff here provide excellent service. Matthew, our waiter, was fun and great help with the menu including the wine selection. The menu is not lengthy but the a good well rounded selection and changes seasonally. Our group ordered a variety of dishes from the lamb to fish to steak frites and all of them were outstanding. We managed to have room for a shared desert; also wonderful. The manager also stopped (I noticed he stopped at each table at some point during dinner) to check on guests. It was a nice touch. If you're looking for the perfect place for a special dinner or you just want to feel pampered, this is the place for you. This restaurant is absolutely superb! When we arrive at Regan National Airport all we can think of is getting to Ninoâs as soon as possible. The fried oysters are the best we have EVER eaten and that includes New Orleans. The squid ink pasta with seafood is delicious and rarely found on menus. The bread and dipping oil are dangerous because you want to eat the entire basket. Nino is gracious and welcoming. Josephâs service was efficient but unobtrusive. This is one of our favorite restaurants not only in Arlington but also metro DC. We actually fly from Pittsburgh to eat there.

Two couples shared a dip appetizer platter. Pita bread warm and yummy. We then shared two chicken kabob platters. Food was good, bit quite expensive we thought. We wanted their house specialty chocolate cake with ice cream and they were out of it. We had $8.00 dishes of vanilla ice cream. Disappointing.

The entrance to the restaurant suggests the entrance to a beautiful residence -- small flower garden, patio. Inside, a tasteful decor and well-spaced out tables. We had the branzino and venison, both of which were cooked at the right temperature and with herbs that would enhance the taste. The wine list has a good range. The service was attentive without being obtrusive.

Lovely seafood restaurant on the Potomac waterfront in Georgetown.The evening was very nice with good food and service,but $500 for two cocktails, two courses and a bottle of Pinot Grigio did leave us a little shocked.If you cannot be shocked by a dinner bill it is a good place to eat.

Our experience at Jaleo reminded me to always look at local listings for special events whenever I travel! I was in town for work and noticed it was DC Restaurant Week, so it was a perfect chance to try the special menu! There were three of us, and amongst the 5 courses, we were able to try all sorts of dishes. The highlights were the Patatas Bravas (of course!), the chicken croquetas, the Gambas (shrimp), and (surprisingly to us) the prickly pear sorbet. However, all of the dishes were good, and the sauces were super tasty. Itâs a big place, so we were able to walk right in on a Friday evening; not having to wait is always a bonus!

This was a disappointing experience overall. We had asked for a quiet table but when we entered the dining area - which admittedly has a high ceiling and very poor acoustics - we could help noticing how noisy the place was. Although the restaurant was far from full in the early evening the occupants of two tables in particular seemed only be able to shout, not talk. When we asked the manager if we could move to a quiet area he first told us it was "closed" and then subsequently took umbrage when I complained hos noisy his restaurant was. Only later were we were "allowed" to move to a quieter table. Great customer service, huh? Clearly, the guy is in the wrong business - which is somewhat surprising since the chain's blurb has a homely piece on its website that ends with "welcome to my home". Not a home I would recognise.To start, we ordered a couple of bottles of Lebanese red, the Wardy Les Cedres (@ the princely sum of $72 (including tax and tip) much better than the pretty mediocre Heritage Red at a mere $39 price, and the humus sampler. The humus was fine, as was the wonderful pitta bread that came with it, but I wish we had warned that one of the portions was very spicy. To follow, two of our party ordered the lamb kebab. One of them was supposed to be rare but both came out overcooked and tough. One ordered the salmon harra, which was reportedly very good and I ordered the lamb mouzat, which was a beautifully cooked and spiced lamb shank but accompanied by vegetables, including artichokes but also, unfortunately, about 1lb of green lentils. I would have much preferred some cous cous but this was apparently not available in this Lebanese restaurant.Despite the noise and the mixed quality of the food, our server was great - friendly, helpful and efficient. But, will we return? Nope. Uptown, Mama Ayesha and Baccus of Lebanon are far superior.

Food is good with decent portions. Restaurant in evening is dimly lit and relaxed. Tables aren't in top of eachother which is nice. It's in a small strip mall with numerous other counter service or casual find in restaurants, hence the parking issue (lot isn't very big). Main downfall like other reviews mention.

We had dinner here with friends primarily because we wanted to try a local Turkish restaurant. We were seated inside., but during warm evenings there is excellent outside seating available. The menu has several interesting choices, particularly the Turkish selections. I had one of the specials, slices of beef and land with two sauces, over rice. Other foods we enjoyed were a spinach pie (great) and a pasta dish with a type of noodle I have not had. My wife had Moussaka which was tasty. The calamari appetizer was great because it did not have breading -very interesting (and delicious). My only complaint is the prices of wines are high. Service was superb. Oh, you have to save room for the chocolate cake dessert!!
