The only saving grace for the experience here is that the food was excellent (when it finally arrived.) We stopped here before the light festival, so it was only about 5pm or so, and wasn't busy. We stopped in with two families and small children, so needless to say, we don't get out much, but when we do, we want to make it count, and the fundamental understanding/practice of a business that takes your money for a service provided is not to be taken for granted. Well, that was violated and stomped on, and left a bad taste in our mouths, so to speak. Seating a party of 7 was an unheard of question, like we were aliens from another planet. Ordering a beer should not be a 30 minute affair after you order it. I actually went up to the bar, which was a few feet away from the table and ordered a beer. Most of the other drinks ordered were not received. The appetizer never arrived as well. One of the kids' meals did not arrive/wasn't put in. I want to note that it was stressed that we should have the kids' food first because they were starving. The waiter was elusive, but seen around the half empty restaurant many times. We had to flag down other wait staff to get anything done. Also wanted to mention that there were a few other tables with about the same size parties around us that were there before us, and still there after we left that had the same issues, not surprising, but they were way more tolerant of the bad service than we were, and our tolerance level is high. Also on the way out I saw the manager getting a verbal beat down with other angry customers who couldn't believe that their food didn't show up. (you know the whole reason that you're at a restaurant to begin with.) The only positive I can say is that the food, when it actually did arrive, was very good. As I had to serve myself when it came to many items for our party, we could of just stayed at home.With the already inflated prices of CashBurn/NOVA/Loudoun One, I really wish I could take my discounted 10% tip (reflects the service, but deserved a 0%) back because I really feel ripped off now.

Haven't eaten here for a while since moving out of the area, but we were very happy to return for lunch. The food is as good as we remember and the draft beers are always good. You can't go wrong with a Great American Pale Ale. The fish tacos were delicious and so was the chicken sandwich. We ate at the bar, since our time was limited, but our server Christina was friendly and efficient. Sure wish they would expand to the Richmond area!

The food is good but it is nowhere close to being Capital Grille and it will definitely cost you more. It is worth a visit to try it but considering price and food compared to other high end steakhouses is not my first choice. It does have good ambience and a good vibe but falls short. However, we love the bar and the variety of bar bites. The drinks are high caliber and when we go to DC Prime we now sit at the bar.

So on the recommendation of a friend, I opted to go to Matchbox for my next monthly dinner with another friend. We were there well before the dinner rush so we got a nice booth away from the bar but not too far from the door. Our server (never got his name) was very personable, however he did seem to disappear for long spans of time and after ordering our appetizer, it took a while for him to come back and get our meal order. For an appetizer, we shared the delicious arancini. The risotto was al dente with a bit of bite, the cheese was gooey and the marinara was a little spicy. I felt it could have been salted a bit more liberally, but I like my risotto salty. For our meal, we shared the 10" cremini mushroom pizza. The crust was thin and crispy, the mushrooms were fresh and flavorful. There was a good quantity of arugula on top which added a nice pepper flavor to the pizza. It was a great meal and a perfect quantity of food for the two of us.

Our group of 4 couples first tasted some wines, then visited the restaurant on site. The wine tasting offered 2 different schemes, depending on your wine preferences. This was a good option, because each couple chose different tastings in order to try all of the possibilities. Many wines were excellent, though some were pricey. One tasting offered a choice from the 'chocolates and truffles' display. If you like chocolate, this was a great option. We all bought a small selection of wines and moved to the restaurant. Nice menu with lots of items for lunch or dinner. I chose 2 appetizers, the pot stickers (w/pork) and the crab/lobster bisque. This turned out to be an excellent combination. Others were all over the menu with their choices, but everyone liked the food. Overall, we were impressed with Cooper's Hawk.

Historic Willow Creek Farm in Loudon County, VA combined four unique antique heavy timber structures in to a fantastic restaurant. The menu selections were so varied and hard to choose from (have gluten-free and vegetarian). Our group had the wild caught salmon from Alaska, salad topped with filet mignon, and some of the best ribs east of Memphis. We finished with key lime mousse and a gluten-free chocolate cake spectacular. Great service!

Heard a lot about Fordâs Fish Shack and decided to try it while visiting family. Made a reservation for a party of 5 and wanted to increase it to 10 on fairly short notice. The restaurant accommodated us with no problem. One waiter served our table and was friendly, knowledgeable and patient as many of us had questions about the menu. Appetizers for the table included calimari, firecracker shrimp and shrimp cocktail. The firecracker shrimp and shrimp cocktail were excellent. Some thought the calimari was a little rubbery. It was amazing how quickly the appetizers came out. Entrees included pecan trout, crab cakes, steamed shrimp and traditional lobster roll. The trout was delicious and fresh. No fishy taste. Crab Cakes had very little filler and was enjoyed by all who ordered it. The waiter recommended the Connecticut style lobster roll but I wanted to try traditional first. I should have listed to the waiter. Was also disappointed with the amount of lobster. It ordered coleslaw and it came with grilled corn. The coleslaw was interesting but I prefer a vinegar based slaw. The grilled corn was excellent.The restaurant serves baskets of little corn bread muffins that were outstanding. Moist and actually had corn in the muffins so it couldnât come out of a box. Really good. Overall great service, good food. Fun place!

Located next to Starbucks, it concentrates on fish dishes. Casual with a nice menu. Order upfront and then served at your table. We had the shrimp cocktail, fish and chips and surf and turf. All good food and not that expensive. Worth a visit for sure.

We stopped in on a Saturday for lunch. There is an underground parking lot down the block and across the way and a surface lot on-site with plenty of parking. We were seated promptly in a nice small dining alcove along the windows overlooking the courtyard lattice work. The menu had great options for appetizers, salads and soups and entrees and there were also daily specials. The seafood salad with ahi tuna and shrimp was nicely dressed with a light vinagrette and very good. The meals were accompanied with fresh bread and butter. Perfect light meal.
