Reviewed By Stuart CThe room we were allocated surprised us as we entered a very spacious, airy, clean and modern accommodation, finding we'd been upgraded to a junior suite on the outside corner of the hotel! And fabulous it was, with a large bathroom fitted out with very high quality materials, including "his & hers" wash basins, a large walk-in shower with a big, square "rainfall" shower head, attractive stone-textured walls and a floor laid with beautiful natural stone tiles! To add to this luxury, the towels were soft and thick. The junior suite also boasts a spacious walk-in wardrobe! A huge and very comfortable king-size bed, in keeping with the level of luxury, is positioned within a quadrant-shaped room with three large windows along the curved wall giving loads of light to the well-fitted, quality interior. A private balcony is accessible through a glass-panelled door. However, the addition of certain items would've completed the overall perfection of this room. While the bathroom is occupied, a large mirror on an otherwise blank wall in the room itself would be a useful addition, likewise a small shelf in the walk-in shower to place bottles of shampoo/shower gel. Certainly more electric sockets by the desk would prove useful, too, as we had to unplug the television to gain access to an electricity supply for the laptop in particular. This sole socket near the desk was hidden behind the high-mounted TV and is slightly tricky to reach. A light dedicated to the desk area would also be a boon. Otherwise, what a beautiful room! As mentioned in a previous review, an absence of fried or even scrambled eggs at breakfast on some days and just hard boiled eggs on offer, even though bacon and sausages, etc., are available, I find this a bit odd! Also, the inclusion of HP sauce, a favourite with British guests, would be a welcome addition at breakfast, although this is a Spanish hotel, catering mainly for Spanish guests. However, the food is of high quality throughout the day. The restaurant is large enough to cope even during the busiest of periods and the restaurant personnel work flat out at all times. The rooftop bar located on the 8th floor, "La Vida Pura," has a great ambience and impressive views but the drinks are somewhat expensive, even with a 10% discount applied! A swimming pool is also located in this area, along with the pool on the lower floor. There is plenty of free parking near the hotel and its location is only a short walk from the pleasant town centre. Beaches can be accessed nearby. Over all, the staff are friendly and efficient and the hotel is kept virtually spotless at all times. We've been to this hotel four times and we will be back!

Reviewed By 627Carol64I stayed here for 4 nights whilst visiting family in Vinaros. The rooms were very clean and spacious with terraces.As well as the bed there was a couch and a chair with coffee table.The bathrooms were well equipped with both walk in shower and bath. Complimentary water and toiletries were available and the room had plenty of storage and everything I needed . The food was very good with plenty of choice to suit all tastes.Good COVID precautions were in place throughout the hotel and all the staff were pleasant and helpful.The swimming pool and jacuzzi were well maintained with plenty of sun loungers and a seating area.I would definitely stay in this hotel again and was pleased with the level of cleanliness and customer care.

We are in Vinaròs, in the residential area of the "Costa Norte", next to the Ctra. Valencia - Barcelona, N-340, km 1053 at 700m from the nearest beach (Cala dels Cossis) and 1.5km from the beach of sand (Playa del Fortí and Fora Forat). The center of Vinaròs is only 2km away. We have free parking, easy access and convenient parking. The Hotel has a Bar - Cafeteria area, where delicious breakfasts are served, and you can also watch TV and read the press, in the same area there is free wifi for you. The dining room is cozy and comfortable, has 150 seats, with air conditioning and music; ideal for lunches, meetings, banquets and all kinds of social celebrations. The cuisine is Mediterranean, made entirely homemade. Excellent and economical daily and festive menus. The Hotel has 12 rooms (single / double) renovated, with air conditioning and heating, bathroom, television, telephone, refrigerator, wifi, most with their own terrace and safe.

Free private parking & pleasant garden appreciated but we thought the rooms were rather hostel-like & ours could have benefited from a bit of attention. There was a nice large balcony though it needed a good clean, a rickety fridge, broken balcony door and patched up bathroom tap. We had travelled a long way from France and were very disappointed that the restaurant was not open for dinner. The last thing we wanted was to trail round looking for a restaurant so were reduced to buying picnic items from the supermarket nearby. Room OK otherwise - free WiFi, no hairdryer but I was able to borrow one from reception. Pets allowed ( no charge ), breakfast included, staff pleasant and reasonable price.

Reviewed By achefWhat a wonderful hotel in downtown Vinaros. We stayed here for only night on our way to Valencia and really enjoyed it. The room was clean, comfortable, modern and in a good location with parking across the street. The staff was warm and friendly especially the woman at the front desk and waiters in the restaurant. We spent a few hours in the restaurant since our room was not connecting to WiFi and the waiter was very friendly and brought us olives and nuts to enjoy with our beer. The breakfast was typical of Spain and very nice. All in all, despite the WiFi issue it was a lovely place for a night or two.

Good price - quality realtion
Reviewed By fiji3dWe stayed with our child for a week with half board. the room with an additional bed for the boy was large and OK, with Air condition working OK , Wifi working fast, and it had also a balcony. What I was missing in the room was a mini fridge / mini bar were to put some water in the cold. We always had lunch ( during breakfast you can select if you want luch or dinner) and the hotel offered a selection of three starters, 3 main courses and 3 desserts to select from each one. We were very fond of the food offered and everything was very tasty and good quality. the pool behind the hotel is small but OK. there is also a small beach at about 200m from the hotel but it is not of sand but gravel / small stones where you need shoes to walk around. My wife and son did not like it and so we ended up going to the city main sand beach by car every day, luckily the trip to the main beach is only 10 min. and there is a enourmous parking lot nearby. All in all , for the price paid the hotel was very good.

Reviewed By JuRutNicely located in the center of Vinarós, not too far away from the beach. Parking is available 1 block away. The rooms are basic but comfortable and a nice modern bathroom. Friendly reception staff as well. I would stay there again!

It also has agreat location, a 5 minute walk from the beaches and some bars and restaurants and an 8 min. Drive from the centre of Veranos. If you're in the area, I highly recommend this hotel.

Una escapada redonda
Reviewed By S3699RPvanessadLa experiencia comienza tras 5 horas de trayecto en las infernales carreteras que unen Madrid con Vinaroz. En plena ola de calor,operación salida de un 13 de agosto y con la hora de toque de queda pegada al culo , llegamos a las 22:30 a HOSTAL CASTELLVERD. Fernando, el protagonista de esta historia, nos recibe con alegría. Quizás, porque eramos las últimas en llegar, pero estamos seguras que es por esa chispa tan especial que le caracteriza, adelantándose a nuestros deseos más anhelados, nos recibe con 2 tanques de cerveza bien fresquita y los mejores kikos tex-mex del mundo. Este hombre es tan salao que nos aloja en una de sus mejores habitaciones del hostal, pudiendo disfrutar de las vistas al mar. Pero si esto si esto no fuera suficiente, Fernando, nos preparo un desayuno con sus tostaditas de tomate y jamón, zumito de naranja y cafelito, acompañado de los mejores hits musicales. Nos recomendó muy buenas calas por la zona, y acertó de lleno en su recomendación. Ya por la tarde, se estropeó el tiempo, y no pudimos asistir a sus famosas chill parties que celebra al ocaso. Pero lo mejor estaba por llegar. Tras dejarnos la paga extra del verano en el bingo que hay a 100 metros del hostal, Fernando, volvía a estar ahí. Lo volvió a conseguir. Nos sacó de nuevo una sonrisa, con su encanto particular y sus famosos gin-tonics, que compensaron nuestra pérdida monetaria. Lo bueno se acababa. Tras pasar la última noche, y disfrutar de sus deliciosos desayunos, llegó la hora de la despedida. Pero no sin antes, de refrescarnos en su piscina y broncearnos en sus hamacas. Mañana es lunes, pero estamos seguras de que afrontaremos la semana con otra perspectiva. Volveremos, más pronto que tarde.
