The hotel facilities are great, the rooms are very comfrotable, kettle, tub, safe, big closet, blankets, big tv, toiliteries, videt, huge swimming pool, delicious food, very spacious room, check out my photos!

Friendly small B&B well located for the islands and Santiago
Reviewed By Paul CGood value stop over with a nice breakfast in a quiet area. It is a bit of a walk into town but there is a reasonable choice of restaurants. Vilagarcia is not the prettiest place to spend much time there.

Hotel Carril is a modern hotel of four stars in Carril. The privileged situation, by the sea, provied the best view to the sea. It has 29 rooms totally equipped, snack bar, terrace with swimming pool and sitting room. Its restaurant, Placido, is ideal for tasting excellent plates with products of first quality.

Excellent hotel, great value for money
Reviewed By BrianKildareThis was a beautiful, clean hotel in a superb location. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was basic, but had everything we needed to, including a bath tub. Location is right beside the beach and near both ends of the town. We had a very relaxing 2 days here and would recommend it.

Reviewed By 42pilidNot only the bedroom is more than anyone could expect considering that is just a one-start hotel (it really should have more in my opinion), but also all the staff is really kind. I have stayed for a month for work. All the facilities are great: big shower and new toilet, comfortable and new mattress, perfectly clean... Moreover, the hotel is near the centre, so it is possible to visit the town centre on foot. As for the staff, they are simply gorgeous. No doubt, I will repeat.

REALLY LOVELY HOTEL IN GREAT LOCATION
Reviewed By noelgleeMy wife and I spent 12 enjoyable days in the Castelao. On arrival we were given the Broadband login code so I was able to use my iPad immediately. The room was bright and clean. To our surprise there were tea/coffee facilities. For tea drinkers like us this was marvellous. The buffet breakfasts were to a high standard and we enjoyed every one of them. After breakfast we relaxed in the lovely salon that is to the right of the entrance to the restaurant. All-in-all, we were very pleased with this three star hotel which deserves four stars.

Disappointed in Casaldomar
Reviewed By gillaweiWe arrived at the B&B at 12:30, no sign on the building, that it was a B&B, no answer to the rings on either door, rang the bell and knocked several times.We tried to call, no answer and my wife was afraid we fell for a trick.Another couple from Spain was waiting and calling also. Went to lunch and returned two more times, until finally at 4pm they arrived to let us in. You should let your guests know, that nobody arrives until 4 pm. As you go into the vestibule you are greeted by a smell of mold, which is troughout the house. There are air fresheners throughout the property with limited success. The butler/waiter will carry your bags to the room. He is very friendly and wants to please you. The owner showed us the garden which is beautiful and worth walking around in.If you like Ikea, this is the place for you. Our bed was two single beds pushed together, don't roll towards the center, the beds move and you might end up on the floor. My joke for the duration was, you go to bed in Spain and might wake up in Portugal. Breakfast was stale and toasted bread, I didn't want to eat, so they save on cheese and lunchmeats, the fruit was old and browning, but orange juice was freshly squeezed and very good. For the last breakfast we bought croissants at a bakery in town. Bottom line, if you have an allergy to mold, don't want a bed rolling all over and subpar breakfast, this is not the B&B for you. I would not recommend it and would not stay here again.
