Reviewed By Sidewinder456Visited Valmiera and stayed in hotel Wolmar for two nights. Arrived in the evening. Check in was fast, every visitor must present an Covid vaxination certificate. Also wearing masks are mandatory indoors like in general in Latvia. There`s also a parrot named Charlie in the lobby and he likes to talk. But I think the hotel should get him a feathered friend though. Free car park for visitors is situated behind the hotel, entrance/exit are one house away from the hotel building. Part of the car park behind the building is used as a terrace for the restaurant in summer time. The street side room was nice size, clean and comfortable. As it was late evening we also decided to have dinner in the hotel restaurant. As the weather was nice and warm, we sat in the terrace. Menu was good and there were quite enough items to choose from. Service was really nice and good. As we were satisfied with the hotel restaurant, we had dinner there also on our second evening. We slept quite well. Dinner was ok, tables both inside and the outside terrace. Food options were not quite many but that is understandable in current situation. Wifi in our room was …and wasn’t…and was… Really unstable, so using it for work was not an option. Overall really nice stay and would stay there again when visiting Valmiera

overpriced in the middle of nowhere
Reviewed By Femke vThis hotel was ok, because it was close to the place I needed to visit. There is not much around. rooms are so so, bathroom needs to be updated. Breakfast is not very varied. No towels in room upon arrival. Only Latvian tv. More expensive than our Riga hotel which was much better.

Barefoot walking
Reviewed By KaareSovaWell, we had very high expectations because after visiting their homepage on the Internet we thought there will be 2 km of different matrials to walk on! But the most exiting part of the barefoot trail was just at the beginning (glass balls, cones, stones) and it was only 30-40 meters long :) The rest of the trail you just walk barefoot in the forest or on the wooden road! But despite this, it is nice place to go for a walk, kids loved it! And the adventure park on top of trees is really cool!!! Would love to go back and climb there!

Reviewed By 7-Globus-SOVХорошая хозяйка делает хорошее место. Радушный приём, семейный подряд и солнечное место делают отдых спокойным и легким. Так же цена приятно расслабляет, как и классный диван в номере. Мне не хватило бокала чего-нибудь и легкой закуски. Пожелания передал хозяйке. Скоро составит достойную конкуренцию Wolmaru!

Reviewed By JuliaEstWhat a pity.. Place is nice: beautiful forest around, river.. but accommodation. There are few houses on the territory. Maybe some of them are ok, but we were unlucky - old, very consumed wooden house (for 2 adults and 8 children). Very poor furnishing, no towels, cold toilet, broken shower, no kitchen corner. It was pool in the house, 2x2m probably, but with freezing water.. I would not return.
