My 4 Years Stay At Valerie Impact Villas (Valerie Imperial Villas)

Reviewed By U8810PJmichaela

I felt at home in the 4 Years I stayed at Valerie Impact Villas (Valerie Imperial Villas) when I was posted to work in Uganda: The location is quiet, serene and safe; a good environment to take walk or jog and quite central if one needs to get around town. It is close to an open air market, a shopping mall and a church. The worker were nice and friendly and always ready to help. I will stay at Valerie Impact Villas (Valerie Imperial Villas) if I visit Uganda again

This is a little gem, less than 10 beautifully decorated rooms. This place is also one of the best, and consistently good restaurants in town “Mediterraneo”. The service is excellent, the staff extremely nice. The rooms have very nice showers and comfy beds. If you are looking for a cosy hotel, clean, well decorated, with excellent food and atmosphere, look no further.

A home away from home

Reviewed By Joseph K

This marks my second stay at One Minute South and it was still as special as the first. I was there with a new group of friends for a weekend birthday celebration and the staff went above and beyond to make us all feel at home. The food was great and the house, horse, and plethora of dogs were a joy to be around. I recommend taking a walk around the island and seeing some of the breathtaking views or just sit by the pool and watch the birds. I saw three hornbills, a pair of nesting eagles, and a countless amount of kites all from the front porch, so if you like birdwatching you also have that to look forward to. All in all it was a fun filled weekend. I would definitely recommend it for a weekend stay.

Kibale Safari Lodge

Special place

Reviewed By travelin_tommy

I had some misgivings as we first went into our bungalow in which my wife and I stayed, since there is no AC, no fan, and no electrical outlets. It turns out that the high-altitude makes cooling completely unnecessary, as the evening temperature is perfect (maybe 18-20 ºC). Charging of batteries was easily done in the comfortable main lodge. The bungalows are about 100 meters downhill from the reception area in the forest. Super-friendly and helpful staff members, of course, carry luggage, and will also escort you with a light if needed after the very good dinner. The room itself was perfectly clean, very comfortable, and of good size. Except perhaps for the sounds of the animals in the forest, the bungalows are exceptionally quiet. This was one of the most pleasant places in which we stayed in Uganda.

Basic accomodation with friendly people

Reviewed By Travelttomuch

A retired couple run this Guest House and they do go out of their way to be helpful. All the rooms are ensuite. The price is very reasonable so do not expect luxury. The provided breakfast is also very basic. It is very near the airport which is convenient. For an evening meal, go along the road to the Boma hotel. They gave me a good evening meal at a reasonable cost. Don't be put off by the notice outside the Boma hotel saying only pre-bookings accepted - if you look reasonably respectable, they will let you in to go to the restaurant. There is weak internet in the main sitting room only.

Do not stay here but do come for the food

Reviewed By 105cillam

Room is big and clean with a great location but the noise from the upstairs restaurant/ bar is unbearable. Wouldn't recommend anyone to stay at the Aleph but would recommend everyone to eat in the EXCELLENT restaurant.
