i stumbled upon this wonderful little restaurant on a historical walk with girlfriends. unfortunately we weren't hungry but couldn't resist poking our noses in. the owner invited us in and explained the history of this place, which was during byzantine times part of kadirga bay, with a complimentary cup of tea. will definitely make this a stop when showing visitors around.

Great atmosphere and fresh food. The cafe was right under our hotel and is open 24 hours. It has great ambience and the staff are so friendly without being uncomfortable. We used to come down here late at night to enjoy sheesha or drinks. The lahmachun was so tasty here the best Iâve had so far! The meat was not smelly. Their salad is so good. We had katmer from here which was also so tasty. The place is always busy and is just proves that the food is great. The locals come here too. Prices are great too.

Stayed just along the alley way this restaurant is on and encountered the PR guy outside a number of times who is very chatty - you have no chance to actually read the menu as he will pounce, promotes as 48 on Trip Advisor. Stopped for a drink late afternoon and decided to try the food later. He recognised us and found us a table to the side. Looked at the menu and asked what a Sac Tava was, first lady wasnât sure (language) second chap more idea. Was it beef ? Ans , you can have what ever you want, lamb chicken. Was it spicy or herbs - we can make it spicy if you want. I asked for a usual one. Wife ordered swordfish and we shared a mixed meze. Mixed meze ok. Sac Tava , larger minced chunks of ( lamb?) in blandish sauce. Sword fish arrived and wasnât swordfish. So we asked and waiter was very apologetic and offered super fresh sea bass, agreed and got - bream. Ones flat faced and one pointy , we got flat faced .Walked passed next day and they barely said hi! They did their best to make good but getting that wrong is poor, they aim to please but it just wasât as good as the other places within a few meters that we went to. The restaurant is handily placed near our hotel and we had breakfast here a couple of days than rather in our hotel.They served a lovely traditional Turkish breakfast that kept us going all day until dinner.Owner was a rather lovely chap and very friendly too.Would recommend....

I was going to meet with my friends at the theatre last night, which is next building of Sait Ä°skender Restaurant in Ä°stinye. I noticed the restaurant when I go to Ä°stinye Park Shopping Mall, but never been there before. I had a little time for dinner and sat one of the tables and asked an "Iskender Kebap". The service was good and my selection was excellent. The meat was very well cooked and the butter on the top was smelling wonderful. I mostly ate it together with yoghurt but this time it was a little different. Yoghurt came in a separate plate. It was so tasty and loved it very much. The price is moderate. Parking space available.
