A nice hotel

Reviewed By gem_detoro

Great restaurant. Really nice barman who looked after us well. A really good value 3 course menu of the day for 19 euros. The room was fine. Reception staff spoke very good English. Downsides, pool is shared with the campsite and bungalows so gets incredibly crowded and during covid 19 it didn’t seem that anyone was bothered with quite how busy it was especially since Aragon had a spike in cases at the time. It is a 15minute walk into town, not that bad but at night there is no pavement and I was worried about oncoming cars not seeing us. The buses up to the national park are usually full by the time they get to the hotel, so it is worth walking down to Torla to get the bus.

Camping, not the hotel

Reviewed By Ragsnbones

This hotel also has a campsite where I stopped for one night while walking in the Pyrenees. The campsite itself and the facilities are good. However, I need to review because of the terrible experience in the restaurant/bar that serves it. It was advertised as open until 9:30 pm. We went in at 8, got dirty looks when I asked for a drink and was then ignored until we left as the two girls working there sat and watched television, muttering at me whenever I indicated that I wanted anything. As soon as I left they locked up and drove off - it was obvious that we had disturbed their plans for an early departure. It was a similar experience in the morning asking for coffee. So, a good campsite if you only want camping, if you want to use the bar/restaurant find somewhere else in the Torla valley, there are at least 3 other campsites between Torla and Ordesa where you may not feel like something stuck to the bottom of the staff's shoe... Overall it ruined what could have been a great place.

Good experience

Reviewed By V4452YQmarcs

We have been staying here for three days and enjoyed ourselves very much. The apartment had a nice little terrace and the room was spacious and tidy with a comfortable bed and we even had a microwave.. The staff was also very friendly. The only thing to complain about is that we have been told on arrival that the breakfast hours are only between 8-9 and 9-10 am and that we would have to choose one of the above options. We had pre reserved breakfast when booking the hotel but were finally not able to get it because we were already up in the mountains by 7:30. In the end the hotel charged us two breakfasts that we actually did not have and it was not possible to argue with the person in the reception. I strongly recommend this place anyway for a very good price for value ratio

A beautiful hotel in the Pyrenees

Reviewed By Frank K

The Edelweiss Hotel was my favorite lodging during our three-week journey through northern Spain. It is located in the old mountain village of Torla on the Spanish side of the Pyrenees Mountains. Our room was spacious and well furnished. The view from our window gave a spectacular vista of the mountains. The hotel has plenty of parking spaces. The included breakfast offered many tasty options and the staff was cheerful. Torla-Ordesa, Monte Perdido National Park is only a 15 minute drive from the village. The park is so pristine and impressive that it has been declared a World Heritage Site. If you enjoy hiking in the mountains you should definitely come to Torla and stay in the Edelweiss Hotel.

Cozy, comfortable, friendly

Reviewed By marcopolo1964

Bujarello was the only hotel open in Torla when I came hiking in mid-December, but I don't think I'd have found anything better. The rooms are spacious, spotless and comfortable. My bed was super comfortable. There's a cozy common area downstairs. The breakfast was varied and copious, The family that runs it are friendly. There's nothing more I could have asked for. It is on the main road but even in season I can't imagine much traffic, given it's a dead-end valley. You're a quick drive to the Ordesa valley, which is absurdly spectacular. There are hotels off the main road in the village but you won't be able to drive your car to them, something to keep in mind if you have bags. I had dinner one night at the hotel and it was just average, but I was there very much out of season so it's hard to judge. There are nice looking restaurants in the village so you may not want to be committed to eating in the hotel every night.

Hidden Gem in the Mountains

Reviewed By IWR325

This hotel might have been in a teeny mountain town, but it was absolutely lovely. Our room had a beautiful view of the mountains and a large tub that fit two! The room was spacious and relaxing to come home to after a day of hiking. I would highly recommend this spot for a very comfortable and relaxing stay while visiting Ordesa National Park! PS To get great hiking ideas, check out Hike Pyrenees. We loved their routes!

Once in a lifetime is not enough at this hotel!!

This was so incredibly special...we had a corner apartment, Bernatuara apartment, with 2 balconies and a view that made it almost impossible to leave the room! Plus it's a big beautiful apartment with a living room and kitchen!! Who could imagine something like this for 3 wonderful days/nights? And run by the nicest couple who would advise and assist with anything including restaurants, walks, drives, hikes, etc Breakfast was great too. Parking right in front yard. It doesn't get better than this especially in a place near the most beautiful national park. Once in a lifetime here is not enough! We must come back.

Camping Valle de Bujaruelo

Wonderful Campsite

Reviewed By GaryM4611

One of the best campsites I’ve ever visited. Congratulations to the owners for getting everything right and still charging a reasonable price. Clean, friendly, beautifully laid out on terraces on the mountainside. The access road is unpaved for the last couple of kilometres and needs to be taken steadily. It’s safe but bumpy. Take it easy and it’s well worth the trip.

Refugio de Bujaruelo

What a lovely refugio

Reviewed By 915ramiz

This refugio is simply charming, starting with the super-friendly and helpful staff (Elena), a variety of room options, and great food. We had a room for 4 persons with private shower and toilet, and it was great. We also upgraded dinner to the T-bone steaks, which were superb, and a great salad for a starter. As a veteran of refugios - this one is highly recommended
