Honest review of our Family vacay at Crosswinds Tagaytay

Reviewed By marloray2019

Pros: Nestled in a quiet, sleepy, picturesque pine tree forest inside Crosswinds Estate. Perfect for photo shoots/ selfies. Cool breeze all day long. Hotel allows food bought from outside minus corkage. Plenty of parking spaces. Hotel staff are corteous, helpful, gives prompt service, presentable. Frontdesk is responsive (via Viber). Wifi/internet access is good and consistent. Room has flat TV with cable channels. There is a veranda that overlooks the pine forest (very nice). Perimeter is secured with 24 hour guard. Cons: Waited almost an hour for check in. The family room we stayed in is spacious but old, very outdated with problems like broken shower, leaking ref. Microwave is working but cord is so short it does not reach the outlet. Room lighting is inadequate. The hallway to our room is creepy. The whole building is creepier. Far from restaurants. You have to call for food delivery which sometimes does not arrive on time. Breakfast is overpriced and spartan. Tap water not drinkable, you have to buy safe water from hotel (at 200 php for 6 liters) if compli 2 bottles water runs out. Nearby attraction Santa Village is under renov when we arrived. Water from A/C from our neigbour one floor up is dripping to our veranda. Not able to enjoy other attractions like pool area due to lack of time.

Message to the GM: Commendation to Ms. Gelene Pasia (Sales) and Sir Daren Recafort (F&B Supervisor)!

Reviewed By Chadrick J

12 January 2022, I and my wife got married and was very delighted to have experienced the Cintai Coritos as our lunch reception. Very good job to our Sales POC Ms. Gelene Pasia, highly recommended to deal with. She is very easy to talk to in terms of the details of our wedding, thanks big time and hope to celebrate with you soon again. The F&B Supervisor, Mr. Daren Recafort was also very commendable in terms of the service and experience he had given us during our wedding day was hotel-class! Truly, he is an asset of the F&B Team and Cintai Coritos Family! His top of the class service is truly remarkable from the coordination before the wedding, small details and very flexible! Can't take them enough for the magic they let us experienced during that day! (me, my wife and close family members are all grateful!)

Nice location, good foods

Reviewed By CzarEmmanuel

This place offers both good food and accommodation. We tried its open-air restaurant on the lower level. From the terrace you get a great view of Taal Volcano and Lake. There are also monkeys on trees nearby. As to the food, the menu has a good selection of local delicacies that tasted really yummy. Service was also fast and affable. Thumbs up! :D

no sleep, no peace at night

Reviewed By Frecious Zarah M

The best thing about this hotel are the staff. They are really responsive, accommodating and always greets you with a smiling face. They are very respectful even when I requested for early check-out and refund of the second night (which we didn't get but understandable) However, there are a lot more things that disappointed me at this hotel/hometelle. First, there were hidden charges that I did not see on my Booking confirmation. I still paid it upon check-in because I figured I did not want to ruin my scheduled vacation. The service charge and VAT were not yet included in the rate that I saw. Probably not the hotel's fault, anyway. Still, the rate is overpriced, way too overpriced for what you will get. Paid P9K (but expected P7500 only). Would have been okay if the place made it worth it, but noooo. I would consider this a learning experience for me. It hit me really hard because I felt traumatized. I was looking for peace, sleeping in but got no sleep and no peace instead because the place just didn't feel right. I honestly wish I had given up the second night that I paid and just went home earlier but I stayed the 2 full nights which felt like sacrifice or something. The place with all its lush greenery and view of Taal Lake are great! Probably the only thing, aside from the staff, that I liked here. The facilities, however are really OLD already. I stayed in the deluxe room so the VIP rooms could have been better. There was an old, musty, "kulob" smell from almost all the rooms, even the game room where they had the billiards table. It gives the impression that not too many people book here, but still, I think there is a way to make the rooms smell newer, fresher. The aircon was even broken at the second room where I stayed (room 5, I think). I asked to be transferred here because I could not sleep at the room we had.(room 6). I don't know why coz I've been to many other hotels, but I could not sleep here.

Terrible hotel and it was for me one of the worst experiences

Reviewed By haringlakbay

We spent one night in this terrible hotel and it was for me one of the worst experiences I ever got from a hotel. We woke up to a very loud noise coming from a steel cutting machine in front of our room. It is important that you take into account that something intangible, is just as important or more important than something tangible. The guest is going to appreciate being treated politely much more than a sale. We stayed at Espineli thinking that we were going to be relaxing and enjoying our weekend. Instead we were very frustrated that with the noise that no one seemed to care about. Very disappointed, giving anyone a reason to leave a bad review!
