Everything about Tony's is wonderful. It is our favorite steak place to go. It beats out many of the big ticket names near us in Cincinnati. The price tag will reflect that, so be prepared. We just tried our last big name place near Nada downtown and walked away with the same bill and sad because the food was sub par compared. So, I am just using this as my go-to place, no more experimenting.

My wife and I met another couple at Stone Creek for dinner. We were seated promptly (they had made reservations). Our server was very attentive, yet not intrusive. A couple of us had the soup of the day, a crab & crawfish bisque, which was delicious, although my wife's french onion soup was too salty. There was also delicious bread I had the Campfire Fettuccine, which was outstanding, although they scrimped a little on the shrimp. My wife had a chicken sandwich, very good, and parmesan fries, just ok. We split a piece of carrot cake for dessert which was very flavorful, but not as dense as I like my carrot cake. Overall a very good, not great dining experience.

Embers

I like Embers and my family eats there every now and then to celebrate something!! tonight we were celebrating the new year. We were greeted, seated and ordered. Our server was very efficient and the 4 of us ordered a variety of appetizers. They came in a reasonable amount of time and were very good. The 4 entrees came and our plates were visually appetizing and perfect. I had the filet special and it looked so good and perfectly done. However, there was a problem, my plate was cold and the food was cool. Not tepid or warm but cool. It was very good, I enjoyed it but I can’t get over the fact that it was cold. I ordered a full order of onion straws for the table and they were cold? My friend was a little hesitant with her meal and I whispered, “what’s wrong”...and she said, “my fish is cold!” We were guests of another couple and we said nothing to them so we don’t know if their meals were cold or not? I hate going to a favorite place, having a very efficient server and then winding up with cold plates and entrees! We didn’t feel we were in a position to say anything as we didn’t want to hurt our friends’ feelings. But, if you receive a cold entree, say something. It’s crazy to go to a well respected restaurant spend a lot of money and eat good looking cold food!

Breakfast bar for around $15 was very good and on par with what I've experienced at other Doubletree hotels. But, Salmon salad for dinner was mediocre. Teeny tiny piece of salmon tasted good but placed on bagged salad and didn't include much else on top.

I have been tempted by reviews of a few restaurants in the few weeks. 4+ stars and amazing reviews. Most of the time disappointed.Jags has the food, service, atmosphere and quality of a premium steak house. I feel it is better than the food and experience I had at a top name and $$ steak house in Cincinnati. The menu is off the charts. The seafood selection is something I would expect in chicago. The appetizers are all so temping.I had a ribeye and it was perfect. Only regret was it was so big I was only able to eat 1/2 my dinner. So downsize what you think you want and expect to eat.The service was first class. The only thing you have to be cautioned about are the menu prices. My steak was $62 and the mushrooms were $9. Plus a salad plus an app......$100 per person with tip. We had a good wine I have at home for $48, I paid $18.0O for it at the wine shop. It’s a rare first class restaurant

I don’t know who writes the reviews for yelp and trip advisor, But if they say this restaurant is any good, they are terrible liars! My husband and I wanted something Italian and we looked at the reviews. So we gave it a shot! We hadn’t even been seated when a server came over and wanted to know what we wanted for an appetizer. We had no water had not even looked at the menu and wanted a cocktail. By the way there was no one else in the restaurant. A sure sign! We told him we needed some time. He brought the drinks but he was back on that appetizer! Again what did we want? We said we didn’t want an appetizer. I looked at the menu and decided on spaghetti Bolognese. But I would like a meatball. This is an Italian restaurant and they do not serve meatballs!! My husband also went with the spaghetti. I did not want a salad and I excused myself and went to the restroom. When I came back my husband looked at me. They had brought his salad with blue cheese dressing and it was rancid! At this point we got up and found the manager. He was useless. He kept giving us excuses, and excuses were not what we wanted to hear. He said that the restaurant does not serve meatballs! An Italian restaurant – no meatballs! The servers need severe training. There are way too many awesome restaurants in this area. Do not go to Johnny’s Italian steakhouse.Thank you for your feedback and patronage. Brian was the manger on duty and he did call me the evening of your experience. He mentioned you wanted a specific Italian dressing we didn’t offer and some Italian meatballs, both of which he didn’t know how to accommodate at the time. I’m sorry for your frustrations. I was pleased he made the effort to call me. I assure he would do anything within his ability to accommodate as well.We love to go above and beyond to accommodate our guests. I’m sorry we failed you here. We will always prepare things that are not offered on our menu if we have the product available and the guests has the time.I assure you most rave about our service and cuisine. Our business model does not rush our much valued guests out the door. We desire to be very present, but not overbearing. We do encourage our servers to offer appetizers as most people love them. I’m sorry this frustrated you. I will follow up with the server.I hate to hear you didn’t stay to enjoy your meals you ordered. We appreciate you and are very sorry you didn’t get the real Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse experience. If you would like to discuss your experience more in depth, please reach out to me personally.I’d love to see you enjoy some great service and awesome cuisine. I’m happy to suggest some of our very popular and highly recommended items. If you have the time I can even personally prepare you some meat balls and special Italian dressing.I hope you will give us another opportunity to serve you.Kind Regards,Joe PoyeGeneral [email protected]
